Head coaches, OCs, DCs reviled by MSU job

I hate to say it but it really looks that way.

I would rather have no coach than hire Tubbs, Fulmer, Bower, Bowden or an OC/DC without staff,etc. Anything less than a young HC stud is going to yield the same result - putrid 17ing football for the next 5-10 years.

I say go for Gary Patterson at TCU or Graham at Tulsa. Not many decent options left.

Yeah Coordinators never work out. All of the great HC's in history skipped right over that part

I would venture that if a coordinator is interviewing for a head coaching position, they would already have some assistants lined up before time. It would be part of the interview.

administrative duties, pseaking engmnts, etc...etc that HC must perform. The responsibilities are vast compared to a cord. We are in no position to offer OJT.

A OC/DC will have to throw one together while recruiting. They almost never hit the ground running. They have to call on old friends, aquintances, and folks out of work. They work for someone while no one works for them, typically.</p>
