We will be staying at Amelia Island, but could probably drive down to Jax or Jax Beach for dinner Friday night. Did anyone eat somewhere during your Gator Bowl stay that you wouldrecommend?

We enjoyed Chart House very much. We stayed in St. Simon's so mostly ate up there. If you get up to St. Simon's there is a wonderful restaurant right on the corner as you come into the main st of town - don't remember the name.

Ruth's Cris steak house is in the Hyatt I believe, they have a Chart House that was good too, but the best little restaurant was Bistro Biscottis. All of them not far from the stadium. Probably will need reservations at all of them witht he crowd in town.

but it most definitely too far from Amelia island.

Play at and of the courses on the Ritz or the Omni. All of them are georgeous.

We ate at the hotels, so I don't have any food suggestions.

I did play Sawgrass (about an hour drive from Amelia Island). It was a pretty good experience.
