That's why it is so important for Clemson to win. Can't give ESPN a wide-open lane to push their agenda. I love ESPN because I love sports, but clearly they have a vested interest in the success of the SEC. With ESPN, geography, and 'creative business practices' on their side, everyone else is fighting an uphill battle.

The Cliff notes of article: Clemson is in South Carolina which is in the south. They are a good football team. Therefore they play SEC worthy football.

(It's a real eye-roller let me tell ya.)
So it's a Sun belt championship game because it's Sun Belt territory.

This is a shocker that ESPN would say this? After the playoff committee dropped Oklahoma to #4 because, they felt it would be unfair for Alabama to play Oklahoma in Dallas which is to close to Norman.
Yet every playoff game (New Years Six plus title games) are all in the South or the West. When will the Midwest get a playoff game?
