I guess I don’t really get it. It looked like the bases were loaded with 1 out. Team batting had a 3-run lead. I really question if that’s the right move in that scenario because the runner on 3rd is going to have to return to 3rd base and can’t score….as its a dead ball as soon as it hits the runner on 2nd. Team is playing to simply extend lead in that moment, not get someone else up there to hit a 3-run HR. If the batter beats out the DP, run scores. And just running through without the ball hitting you can provide enough distraction to potentially throw off the SS’s view and maybe even lead to a booted ball with everybody safe.

ETA: Also seeing in the X replies that it should have been called intentional interference, which makes both the batter and the runner out. So basically, this guy was a complete dumbasś that just got really lucky that the umps were even dumber.
