Hear Ye! Hear Ye!!! Cream Talk by Stallion - Week 10

Happy Black Sunday to the Six Pack fans: Most of my avid readers probably realize why I call today Black Sunday. The conspiracy theory is in full effect now. Per Wikipedia, "conspiracy theory is a term that originally was a neutral descriptor for any conspiracy claim. However, it has come almost exclusively to refer to any fringe theory which explains a historical or current event as the result of a secret plot by conspirators of almost superhuman power and cunning." Several popular conspiracy theories exist.

1) Some say Princess Diana was actually murdered.
2) Some believe that NASA faked the moon landing in 1969 due to some skeptical photos that were missing in the process.
3) Some say Obama really may have been associated with the 9-11 attacks. However, the latest conspiracy theory that is out there is that the SEC commissioner and associated parties obviously are doing everything in its power to align the stars for a rematch of undefeated Alabama versus undefeated Florida in the SEC Championship. For awhile there, the Stallion didn't jump on the bandwagon. He just chalked it up to bad call after bad call after bad call, etc. that continued to influence the outcome of games that include Alabama and Florida. Yes, the almighty dollar drives results. Yesterday, the tide has turned (no pun intended) in Stallion's world. . The Stallion can no longer stand watching SEC officiating, especially when the lead official looks like Cousin Eddie from The Vacation movies. It is very apparent that several calls went against LSU that had a huge impact in the momentum of the game. After looking back, some were very close but the breaks never went LSU's way on any call or non-call - none more so than the NFL-caliber interception that Patrick Peterson had which was never evaluated properly. Certainly if Peterson was wearing crimson and caught that ball on the Alabama sideline, the original call would have been interception. And of course, there is no way to overturn that - right? So for the State fans of the world, just suck it up. You will never win an SEC championship because you just lack tradition and sex appeal. It will never ever happen. You don't bring enough fan base or revenue to the sport like the Floridas and Alabamas. Why should you even play the game? Why should there even be instant replay if we already know the outcome? So in a world of conspiracy theorists, I salute the "Cousin Eddie" look-alike SEC referees out there. May you pump sewage from your RVs and wonder if Santa Claus really is for real for the rest of your lives. One thing is for certain, you keep the Stallion guessing each week whether or not you and your crews are watching the same SEC game that the Stallion watches.. That was not an interception??? "Are you serious Clark?"[/i] And now for the Week 10 Cream Rankings:

1) Florida - $30K lighter in the pocket allows for much more elevation in the cream this week. The Gator offense seems to be hitting its stride.

2) Alabama - McElroy better figure out how to be more consistent or the Tide will be in the same position as last year - facing a non-BCS school in the Sugar Bowl.

3) LSU - Not only did the Tiiigaaahhhs get screwed on the field, but they got a lot of damaged goods after this game.

4) Tennessee - Now winning games that Volunteer nation expects to win convincingly

5) Auburn - Furman somehow dropped 31 on the War Eagles. Apparently they left their defense back on the Furman campus.

6) Ole Miss - The Mad Nutters are obviously king of Div. I-AA. or whatever they call it now.

7) Georgia - Climbs be default.

8) Arkansas - Strong performance by the Razorbacks against the Ole Ball Coach's club. 

9) Miss. St. - Has an opportunity to prove to Stallion and the rest of the doubters that Marroon White Bulldog Blitz is BAAAACK.

10) South Carolina - Hilton Head Golf Club, may I help you??? Yes, this is Steve Spurrier and I would like to book a lifetime of tee times, because this coaching gig just ain't what it's cut out to be.

11) Kentucky - I suspect that the Wildcat fans are looking more for 2's and 3's right now versus 7's

12) Vanderbilt - Duke should give you hope. Hot Boudin - Arkansas - A much needed win for Petrino's boys. Solid performance against a dying Gamecock team. Cold Couscous - LSU - Despite the ultimate barrage of bad calls and non-calls, LSU still had an opportunity to control its destiny. Destiny slipped away. The Jarrett Lee Award sponsored by the GM Government Bailout Program. = Patrick Peterson wins the award not because he didn't play his *** off. He totally did. But it was when he couldn't play that cost the Tiiiigaaaahhhhs the most. Constant cramping kept him out on the 73 yard Julio Jones catch and run. Love, Stallion

I read today that an SEC referee gig is a $500/week part time job.

If only there were enough money in SEC football to make this a real job.

There is no full-blown conspiracy, although fans don't want to hear it. It'd be impossible for the SEC to get all these refs who earn around $500 a week and maintain full-time jobs to risk federal imprisonment and fix games. Even suggested favoritism is unlikely.

When a championship is on the line...no one deserves to get screwed...let them play it out without the refs leaning to the sexier pick. That's all I am saying....I would like to say it's good to be in the club but it feels rotten.

SEC Ref's make more than $500 per game. I know that SEC basketball refs make almost 1000$ per game.... and the football games make a little bit more than that.

This is coming from a professor who taught me at MSU and who played in the NFL. Take it for what it's worth...

Referee $3500/game. Other officials $2700/game. They are responsible for their travel expenses.

Yes, Glen Young is a cool dude. I took his "Coaching Football" class last year with a bunch of football players, including Dixon. It may have been the easiest class I've ever taken, but it was fun.
