I read today that an SEC referee gig is a $500/week part time job.

If only there were enough money in SEC football to make this a real job.

"It is very apparent that several calls went against LSU that had a huge impact in the momentum of the game."

It's never a big deal until it happens to you. Welcome to the party.

to play along with it now...b/c we were snake bitten by the "conspiracy theory in the SEC" yesterday. I now know how the State fans feel.

regarding Princess Di's conspiracy theory.

When a championship is on the line...no one deserves to get screwed...let them play it out without the refs leaning to the sexier pick. That's all I am saying....I would like to say it's good to be in the club but it feels rotten.</p>

SEC Ref's make more than $500 per game. I know that SEC basketball refs make almost 1000$ per game.... and the football games make a little bit more than that.

This is coming from a professor who taught me at MSU and who played in the NFL. Take it for what it's worth...

Referee $3500/game. Other officials $2700/game. They are responsible for their travel expenses.

Most definitely Glen Young... he was so awesome.

Nothing like lightening up an semester of senior level engineering courses with "Officiating Football and Basketball"

Yes, Glen Young is a cool dude. I took his "Coaching Football" class last year with a bunch of football players, including Dixon. It may have been the easiest class I've ever taken, but it was fun.

they make the rules as they go , can`t be beat and can`t even be critisized. I couldn`t have resisted the sarcasm of inserting them in the rankings. To your credit you did not.

without a doubt.

For the first time ever, you should edit your standings, make it a 13 team league, and put the REFs at no. 1.
