Hear Ye! Hear Ye!!! Cream Talk by Stallion - Week 2

Good evening Six Packers!!! Week 2 provided the Stallion with a very interesting perspective on things. Yes, I still think Phil Fulmer is fat and was way too conservative aGAIN in his play calling against the Bruins last week, but that isn't the perspective I was shooting for here. The cream crystal ball is really showing me a couple of things from this week's games - 1) Vandy will win six games this year and I feel destiny is on BJ's team and 2) Florida showed some serious vulnerability against a weaker Miami team and may have been exposed somewhat. However, the top of the Cream rankings was not turned over, but does have some cracks in the armor. Some other side notes are that the Rebels may be a sleeper (or is Wake Forest just way overrated) and La Tech is "who I thought they are" quoting the Nutty Professor, Dennis Green. And then there are the Hogs. They completely pulled one out of their proverbial *** against Louisiana "let me figure out which SEC team will be my *****" Monroe. I did feel that Petrino would show signs of improvement throughout the year, but I am now seriously doubting that. The 'Backs are just awful. And now for the Week 2 rankings

 1) Florida - Well Tebow has a long way to go to have the same credentials as last year, and the Stallion's pre-season cream rankings could be rattled.
 2) LSU - Let's hope LSU's off week will lead to the Tiiigaaahhhs toppling their opponents like Gustav did on the campus' famous oak trees. 
 3) Georgia - Stronger week 2 performance by Stafford and the boys. The 'cocks will be hungry for some dawg meat though.
 4) Alabama - Very lackluster performance by the Tide against a much distracted Green Wave team. I had a flashback to the Jay Barker years where special teams and defense would pull off close games and hence give Barker the tag line as "all he does is win". 
 5) Auburn - Solid 1st half performance by the War Eagles and showed no signs of losing ground on the coveted cream
 6) Tennessee - Fatty chokes another on the west coast and probably will end up winning the west after a losing a game they should have won on Labor Day that has no implications on the Vols playing in the championship.
 7) Kentucky - Norfolk who???
 8) Ole Miss - J Snead may be giving the Nutters a nice year and a very obvious bowl game looms. We will see if they are pretenders or contenders.
 9) Vanderbilt - The 'Dores made all smart people like the Stallion proud. Outstanding win!!!
 10) South Carolina - Not even the football gods can help Spurrier at South Carolina. Give it up and play golf. Maybe even Lou Holtz will stop promoting the 'Cocks as an SEC power.
 11) Miss. St. - I can't believe I am moving the Dogs up after a win against the weakest directional school in Louisiana, but Arky is just that bad.
 12) Arkansas Piglets. - Pathetic at 2-0. I'm embarrassed and so is the rest of the SEC. Who's next? A squeaker over Millsaps…come on now…own up to your SEC responsibility Hot Boudin Award - This is really a no-brainer. The Vanderbilt Commodores own Spurrier (at least for the last two years). Can Bobby Johnson use the Hot Boudin as leverage to catapult the 'Dores to the Music City Bowl? Cold Couscous Award - As much as I would like to give it to the Hogs for pulling a miracle out, the Gamecocks have to receive the award. Once again, high expectations lead to "Smelley" results. vanderbilt will win six games. 26 years of history are calling, and they want your prediction back. if cutler was still there, ok, but this isn't exactly their year talent wise, despite the early results.

that it is still early and you may be right. However, you win against S. Carolina and have an easy out - of -conference schedule outside of Wake Forest.. And then of course, Vandy plays Miss. St. which would represent win no. 5. And then, they would either need to win against Ole Miss, Kentucky or Tennessee to get that coveted 6th win. They have a shot.

Although Auburn's cream will rise above Alabama's before it's all over. You still have to give them credit for beating clempson though, so they are in the right spot, for now.

and SC is worse than I thought they'd be. One thing is for sure, Croom will do his best to try and wrestle that 12 spot from Arky.

Well, Vandy does sit at 2-0, but I'm not ready to send them a bowl invite yet. As they showed us Cutler's senior year, they aren't above losing to a team like MTSU to keep them from getting to 6 wins.

They still need 4 more wins to get there. They still have Rice, Duke, and Wake left OOC. They should lose to Wake. They should beat Duke and Rice. However, I won't be shocked if they find a way to lose to either Rice or Duke (see MTSU above).

Hypothetically, if they don't choke, and they finish at 3-1 OOC, they still need 2 more SEC wins. Like you say, those would likely have to come from Kentucky, MSU, Ole Miss, or Tennessee. I think they'll be doing good to come out with 2 wins in those 4 games.

Basically, I think they'll have to avoid any bad slip ups and win almost every game they have a chance to win if they hope to get 6 wins. Given Vandy's history and the fact that they have NO passing game at all, I would have to place my bet on them finishing at 5-7 playing the what if game with one or two close losses.
