I don't know how good or bad Georgia is, but AJ Green is the best receiver in the conference. Yes, better than Julio Jones. I've been very impressed with Green so far in his career. Chris Lowe, I believe, said that Green deserves to be mentioned in the Heisman conversation right now, and I would agree. He may not be the favorite, but he needs to be considered. Also, as much as it pains me to say, I think Bama is the best team in the country right now.

Arrogant? I believe if you look at last weeks post you will see me saying that I anticipated Ole Miss would lose. Most fans were scared about playing Spurrier on a Thursday. There is a reason he schedules those games. Good list but I elevate Auburn and drop LSU. LSU was horrible Saturday. It is early yet and one loss doesn't end the season although most fans in the SEC believe Ole Miss is done for good. Bama is the best in the country. It will be another showdown with Florida in Atlanta this year. Not much left for Bama to conquer on the way to Atlanta. LSU? Tennessee?

LSU fans are stereotyped as crazy coonasses. Doesn't apply for everyone and I have a ton of Ole Miss fans. I for one don' t think Ole Miss is out of it, but the loss had to drop the Rebels in the Cream Rankings. They did not look very good Thursday. LSU did not look very good but they won an SEC game on the road which you should never take for granted. Miss. State is improved. Auburn has to come to LSU's house so it will be a tough road game for them. October is going to be a great month.

I think LSU there, for now, is the right choice. But I'd also say I see those 3 teams as almost even. Obviously it'll shake out some at the season goes, but I'd just rank them as all tied at 3 at this point. It's clearly Bama, FL, and everyone else.
