But there's such a huge gap between #1&2 and 3-12. Also I'd move Georgia ahead of Ole Miss. And, unfortunately, my nomination for the Jarrett Lee Award would have to go to Anthony Dixon who after 329 touches without a fumble, fumbled twice against GT (one was fumbled and taken to the house by GT, the other was fumbled on GT 1 yard line).

not sure about Georgia being better than Ole Miss at the end of the day. Georgia was the first team that LSU has faced this year that we looked decent running the ball against. The LSU game should have been much worse but the red zone offense was not efficient at all against UGA. I'm taking the lesser of the two evils.

when comparing Ole Miss to Georgia, I believe Ole Miss's defense is much better than Georgia's; therefore I think they should be ranked higher. You are probably right about the comment - is Ole Miss really in stride? Doubt it. But they have a better team than Georgia. LSU had ample opportunites to put UGA away early and poor play calling and poor execution in the red zone prevented that from happening for LSU. LSU finally ran the ball wiht some authoritiy against UGA that they haven't shown in previous games

State was getting some momentum and that play sucked the life out of the Dawgs. I disagree on UGA v. Ole Miss b/c of defense differences.

You may be right about 1 and 2, but I would just love to see a huge shocker in Baton Rouge next Sat. night. Desperately trying to find two tix for this game where I am not paying my monthly mortgage payment on tix.

We were much better than the week before. Snead was incredible in the first half. It showed marked improvement. If we improve as much this week as we did last, we'll be in good shape. That's a lot to ask though

Sowell will become someone's *****, aGAIN. I think he gets toasted 100x worse than the South Carolina game.

Boy, that's got to suck considering all the BCS talk.......Hey, Nashville, Memphis, and Shreveport are all viable options for your bowl game though......Atlanta if you get lucky.......

can write it`s on ticket if they get to hitting on all cylinders. The team has the ability to beat anybody they play but the "chemistry" seems to be a little off to me.

which makes the West interesting if either LSU, Ole Miss or even auburn really clicks against Bama. Other than VT, Bama really hasn't played anyone but they have played well against the bad teams.

Judge teams on THIS year, don't put too much stock in the Rebs based on last years hot finish. Auburn is clearly no. 3, again this is not last year and malzahn makes all the difference in the world. I thought msu was clearly, clearly a better team than lsu, and last nights offensive performance just confirmed to me how good mullen is and that he'll have msu ahead of ole miss for years to come, and I really feel confident that we can beat them this year.

I have given Auburn a ton of credit. They did beat Tennessee at their house. LSU beat Georgia who as potent offense and a suspect defense. LSU played Georgia very well for 3 quarters and should have won that game by 3 TDs if they had any sort of red zone execution. You guys are failing to give LSU any credit but they have found ways to win. Do I think LSU is going to beat Florida...hell no, but I do think LSU will beat Auburn. Auburn's defense still looks vulnerable to me. LSU probably play UGA's offense better than any team they have faced thus far and showed signs of a top 5 or 10 defense during that game.

1) Zach "I can get burned on any given play" Smith for the 3rd down and GOAL heave from Nesbitt who was under pressure for the 2nd time in 2 plays by McPhee...completion for the TD ...that really sucked the life out of the DAWGS!

OR

2) Chris " Put me in Coach...I'm ready to...OOOPSS " Relf...for the one and DONE fumble that lead to another Ga. Tech TD!!!!!!!!

Take your pick Stallion...either would be a fine candidate.

tested yet (Memphis, S.E. Louisiana, South Carolina, and Vandy). If they get gashed like I think they may this Saturday then I offically declare the Egg Bowl a tossup even with MSU's terrible defense acknowledged. I think the Rebs will be forced to put eight in the box early to slow bama down and then the Julio show may begin.

I would call the egg bowl a toss up right now, and I feel more confident now than I ever have in my life about the future of msu football. We can consistently move the ball on good defenses, and other than the 2000 team, I don't remember that ever being the case and stallion, come on. The more I think about it, I really think msu is better than lsu and I pretty much consider that a De facto loss for lsu. Couple that with the fact that auburn dominated msu, and that's all the reason to believe they're the 3rd best right now. I don't care who has had a "tougher test," auburn had been more immpressive against who they've faced and lsu received a miracle. I know auburn's D is shaky, but lsu's offense isn't consistent enough to expose that, just like they weren't consistent enough to expose uga's vulnerable D

Yep, and I learned 2 things from the LSU-Georgia game.

1) Georgia's defense may be worse than I originally thought. Willie Martinez will be looking for a job in a few months. LSU should've won that game by 2-3 TDs easily. Watching the first half, though it was only 6-0, I was convinced LSU would run away with it.

2) MSU is likely better than I originally anticipated. I didn't see much of the Georgia Tech game, but MSU's defense looked 10 times better than UGA's in facing LSU. And for that matter, MSU's offense was a whole lot better than UGA's against LSU. It's dangerous to start using the transitive property in college football, but after 5 weeks, I definitely feel like MSU is better than the 2-3 record they boast, and I feel like they could still make a push at a bowl game this year despite throwing away 2 games already this year.

But yet you are going to rank LSU ahead of Auburn when LSU pulled that game out of thier *** at GA and won the game by the length of the football at MSU? Who knows what would have happened if that ref hadn't decided to become part of the LSU special teams on that highly BS celebration call. I never saw it coming.. .but Auburn is rolling right now.

Granted, they probably were doing a little bit of a look ahead, but they didn't exactly steam roll a Kentucky team that isn't very strong.

Kentucky managed to get a solid ground game going against Bama, and if it weren't for the 4 turnovers, UK would've been right in the game with Bama.

Bama is a very good team, and they'll be a huge challenge for us, but they definitely didn't look nearly as invincible against UK as they have in previous weeks.

A team that's Bama's caliber should win by a lot more than 18 when winning the turnover battle 4-0 over a team like UK, but they didn't dominate Kentucky like I expected they would.

I am pretty sure that they called a celebration on both of the last TDs by each team. Georgia just didn't take advantage with a huge kick return and 30 second TD drive like LSU did.
