Hear Ye! Hear Ye!!! Cream Talk by Stallion - Week 7

Good afternoon Six Packers!!! Week 7 is officially black Sunday in the Stallion's household. The Stallion is truly embarrassed with his beloved Tiiigaaahhhs performance on Saturday night, but with all honesty, the Stallion was not surprised. The areas of weakness that were exposed are the weaker secondary and the mistake-prone QB, and that is why I had this game marked down as a loss before the year began. Tebow and company totally exploited it. I just didn't think that the game would be over by the end of the 1st quarter. It didn't help that Ricky Jean John Jacob Jingle Heimer Francois opened his pie hole to give the Gators even more motivation to take the Tigers behind the woodshed to give them a swamp-beating. Now I feel like I am in that Miller Lite commercial and the Commish is making me face the music for drinking just "any beer". I also owe a congratulatory salute to Croom and the boys for the big win over a much improved Vandy team. Miss. St. has now given the rest of the nation the blueprint on how to beat Vandy. This should solidify Croom's contract extension for the next decade. If only he could have pulled out a win against Aubbie or La Tech. And did anyone hear Kirk Herbstriet steal the Stallion's line about how the Cream will rise to the top during the Red River Shootout. I think that makes the Stallion qualified to be an employee for ESPN/ABC sports. And now for the Week 7 rankings

1) Alabama - Maybe being idle is not such a bad thing after all. Of course, the Associated Press didn't think so.
2) Florida - How in the world did the mighty Gators lose to Ole Miss. Someone explain this to me.
 3) Georgia -The new tag line for Georgia - "Plays to the competition and finds a way to win."
4) LSU - The road only gets tougher for the Bayou Bengals. Is this the time that the Mad Hatter starts to show his Sabanless recruits off and falls back into the pack?
 5) South Carolina - Spurrier's boys seemed to be catching its stride at just the right time with two big back-to-back SEC wins.
6) Vanderbilt - Takes a slip back but is losing to Mississippi State more of a penalty than a one-ranking drop in the Cream polls.
7) Ole Miss - Idle week also helps the Rebels move up.
8) Kentucky Although 0-2 in the SEC, they are still proving to be a formidable opponent for any SEC squad.
9) Auburn - The Riverboat Gambler may have gambled his job away by firing the OC Franklin and then losing to one of the worst teams in a BCS conference. How does that happen?
10) Miss. St. - Big win in Starkpatch and the Dawgs are finding some confidence under the new QB Lee.
 11) Tennessee - Have you ever seen a worse Tennessee team under Fulmer?
 12) Arkansas - I can't legitimately put the Razorbacks ahead of anyone despite this miracle win. The Stallion doesn't understand it and only accepts it as an abbhoration. Hot Boudin Award - Miss. State for getting off the snide in the SEC and winning a game that they had to have against a ranked opponent. Cold Couscous Award -Normally I would give it to the LSU Tiiigaaahhhs, but Auburn totally deserves it this week for the actions of Tuberville and the performance against those feisty Razorbacks. Pig Sooouuuuiiieeeee!!!! Can Tubberville fire himself now? Love, Stallion

and they may end up being the cream, but last night's performance doesn't look promising. It was on the road against a very motivated Florida team and they could still turn it around.

and admit when you are wrong. The rest of your alumni base is realistic about where your program is headed under Croom and the effort that your team gives at times while they are under the leadership of Croom. I'm an outsider and can see that. I can admit when LSU plays like crap and last night is one of them. They didn't show up. They were defeated before that game started. So you be a MAN for once and change your skirt. For you to be so blind to not realize when State players quit in the GT game is absolutely hilarious to me. And yet you ponder the same point again 3 weeks later after we had the same discussion. State is playing harder since that game, but they are still a bottom tier SEC team and won't get consistently better until Croom is gone.

I think LSU misses Saban's recruiting and recruits. There are always a lot of 4 and 5 stars to choose from and Saban seems to always pick the right ones. Now Lester has to perform with his own recruits and it hasn't been quite up to the LSU standards we have seen the last 7 years. More losses to come.

On another note State looked good and got a good win. What happens the rest of the way in this conference is anyone's guess. It is going to be fun the rest of the way.

They played the best team in the country and lost by 3 and lost a very close game to the Gamecocks who look to be improving. I am not saying Kentucky is awesome, but you can't really rank them much lower than where I have them in the rankings

Florida was ready and they were the better team, but to answer your question, if the game were in Baton Rouge, LSU would have probably been favored.

The Cream Rankings this week agree with your prediction. UGA and Bama appear to be the other two losses, but I wouldn't be surprised if S. Carolina or Ole Miss upsets the Tigers if they played like they did last night. You are also correct with too much leadership gone. Gary Danielson made a great point last night...losing Flynn, Hester, Dorsey, Xenon, Steltz, Highsmith....those were all key playmakers for the Tigers last year and now they have to fill those spots.
