A Glorious Sunday to you Six Packers!!!

The theme of Week 8 as we pass our midway point through the season is cream separation. This is the time of the year that the Stallion really gets to assess the top tier and the bottom tier of the cream rankings and all the glob in the middle that is really indifferent to the recipe, but still can make it tasty for how the cream settles out. At the beginning of the year the Stallion had in its top 4 - Florida, LSU, Georgia and Bama and these teams are clearly the risers, the true cream, if you will. The Stallion had Florida being the cream and he still likes his preseason pick to come out on top. What's also very clear in the cream crystal ball are the bottom 4 - Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, and the site's beloved Croomdawgs. Two of the four should kiss their coaches good bye.

This week's rankings are going to be shaken up a little, because for those of you that understand how the cream really unfolds, it doesn't necessarily have to be who has the best record but who clearly is and will be the best squad at season's end. TURD PIE.

You might as well make your life easier for the rest of the season & just copy & past that for the following weeks.....the names may change, but the situation will stay the same.

And on another note, watching LSU last night, I had the feeling that y'all won a National Championship last year despite Les Miles, but the mad hatter figured things out for the second half. I still think he is a good coach.

Edited to add, Yes Nutt does need to wear at least one undershirt

this year from top to bottom. Bama does not appear to be the strongest team in the stretch run and I see them faltering and losing the edge. As far as LSU, I do believe Miles is a good coach, but he has a great OC. The new co-Defensive Coordinators I am a little leary of still. I like the fiery/smart guys like Muschamp, Saban and Pelini as DC's and I don't see that on the LSU sidelines as much. Aren't most coaches' success stories the product of the coordinators in this present day of college football - See Spurrier, Holtz, and even Bob Stoops to some degree. Only a few survive the test of time - JoePa, Bowden, Tubberville and Fulmer - but now only 1 of the 4 is really not treading water.

Nutt's breasts did look rather supple yesterday. He looked like he needed a bra. I don't remember him having those from last year. Maybe he's taking estrogen pills these days.

I think he has gotten on the Crxxm and Fulmer diet. Maybe he is trying to prove a point that he is a better coach than them and he can eat more.

Its not really feasible to win at the pace they have been winning at with the competition level of the SEC...there is going to be a year at some point where they dont win 10 games...that doesnt mean he is a bad coach- hell look at Saban's record the year after he won the title...

When you are achieving something that has never been done before, there is a reason for that...

and that reason is Nick Saban.

Miles makes dumbass decisions, and it's not like he really set the world on fire at OSU either.

but Miles elevated them even higher than Saban could. Miles achieved way more than even Saban could. There is no way to give Saban credit for NC 3 years after he is gone- thats just a load of ********.

"and it's not like he really set the world on fire at OSU either."

Oh really? Isnt he their winningest coach in recent history? I want to say somebody posted that his winning percentage was higher than that Jimmy Johnson guy that coached there

My top 3 realisitic list would be as follows:

1) David Cutcliffe - You know he would be itching to compete against the school that gave him the shaft and he is proving that he can coach once again.
2) Will Muschamp - Long shot because I think he can get a better HC job, but you have to make a run at him. He's high energy. He's trained under the best. And he knows the SEC.
3) Todd Graham- Takes Rice to its first bowl game and now is blowing the rest of C-USA away at Tulsa. He's very demanding and an up and coming coach.

with that gal he had been text messaging. He probably realizes that he can get some nice "candy" at Ole Miss if all he does is win. The odds are in his favor for female vs. male ratio

I think Saban is a better coach personally. I scratch my head at some of Miles's decision but he is successful. I think both are great recruiters. That was one of the reasons LSU liked Miles to begin with. When Miles took over Okie St. they were dismal. He made them very respectable and allowed Gundy to continue the success (he's a MAN you know!)

Saban couldn't take them to where Miles has? Did Saban not win a NC? What has Miles done more than Saban?

Saban won the SEC twice in five seasons with a NC. He took a team that won 4 and 3 games the previous two seasons and won 8 and then 10 with an SEC title.

Miles has been making stupid decisions since he was hired at LSU. Yes, he's a good recruiter, no he's not a top coach.

has won at least 10 games in all of its seasons under Miles. Saban can't say that. Miles has not lost a bowl game while at LSU. Saban can't say that. I think Saban is a better coach than Miles, but to say Miles is NOT a good coach and makes poor decisions all of the time is a little far-fetched.

Look what Saban took over vs. what Miles took over. If Saban had stayed I think he would have won more than Miles has.

Speaking of Saban, what school could we try to get take him from Bama?

"What has Miles done more than Saban?"

He has gone undefeated in bowl games and has won 10 games a season every year as coach- NO OTHER COACH IN LSU HISTORY HAS DONE WHAT MILES HAS DONE- NOBODY...not one single soul can say that in LSU history...Miles stands alone at the top

Its not Miles fault he got a good job. He cant control what happened before he got to LSU. All he can control is what is happening while he is the head coach...and what is happening? He is making history at the school- thats what.

Saban took over a team that had 4 and 3 wins the previous two seasons.

Miles took over a team one year removed from a National Championship and a team that had numerous top 10 (2 of them #2) recruiting classes under Saban.

They aren't the same situation.

The Psycho is a much better coach that The Hat.

And to answer OP4...maybe Penn State?

And trying to argue that les miles has done a better job is dumb. Saban turned them into what they are and Miles continued to keep them where they are. Now look at Saban he has Alabama at no.2 and undefeated with freshmen while Miles has depth and experience but is not undefeated and has not beaten UGA.

More successful than Jimmy Johnson and he didn't have a Barry Sanders like Johnson did. Miles is by far the most underrated coach in the SEC.

Miles has still accomplished more. Miles has had 11+ wins in all 3 of his seasons at LSU. Saban had only 1 11+ win seasons in 5 years at LSU (and only 1 more season he could have potentialy gotten to 11 if he'd played a 12-game season). Miles is in his 4th season now (mostly all his players now) and is sitting at 5-1 (3-1) and looking at a string of 5 straight home games before a season ending trip to Arkansas. Looks like he'll have a good chance to get 4 10+ win seasons in a row.

But..but...but, don't you understand? All those young players were recruited by Saban 4 years ago. Miles can't possibly be winning with his own recruits.

Miles won a NC in his 3rd season...so he had 3 recruiting classes on that team. At least half the team last season had nothing to do with Saban...He has elevated what Saban started, but correct me if i'm wrong- Saban didnt win 10 games the year after he won the title..and they lost their bowl game

If you want to give Saban credit for Miles, then you better give Shula some credit for Saban's success- Saban is winning with alot of Shula's players- QB, TB, OL...lets remember that Bammer won 16 games the two years before Saban got there- so Saban needs to thank Shula

Saban took over a dying program from Shula. Miles deserves credit. The concern w/ LSU fans with Miles was would he sustain the success and strong foundation Saban left behind and he has. I don't think MIles needs to prove that anymore. However, I think he needs to pay close attention to this defensive coordinator situation. I'm not a fan of the co-defensive coordinator and hope they keep they're eye on a strong coordinator to fill that role in the next year or two

Tom Osborne leaves - Nebraska immedialy down sprirals to a bad team.
Steve Spurrier leaves - Well we know what Ron Zook did. He was out of his league in the SEC.
Rich Rodriguez leaves - West Va. is not even in the upper part of a weak BCS conference in the Big East.

So that says a lot about Miles right there. All of these colleges could recruit and get big time players. The following year after these big name coaches leave the school they lose total momentum. At LSU, it has been quite the contrary. I never said that Miles was a better tactician that Saban. However, you have to give Miles credit for keeping the success of the program rolling. It can get away from you in a hurry if you are a bad coach.

Stallion, My Brother, We'll have to take your word for it. We've never been in the situation to where that could happen. All of our coaches, sans McKeen, pretty much have sucked.

Judge Miles next year, he's still playing w/ a lot of Saban guys. They'll have to replace 4 of 5 starters on the Oline, and possibly the bulk of the Dline if Woods and Francois turn pro.
I think he's recruited well, but it's hard to bring in AND develop the guys to the level that Saban did. The last 5-6 years of LSU football is THE the most talented stretch of rosters that I remember in the SEC, and that's saying something w/ the run that guys like TN and UF have had.
Think about these guys:
Laron Landry/ Marcus Spears/ Craig Steltz/ Corey Webster/ Travis Daniels/ Lavalis/Dorsey/ Wroten/ Kyle Williams/ Marquise Hill
Andrew Whitworth/ Ben Wilkerson/ Rudy Niswanger/ Broussard/Vincent/Addai/ Bowe/ Buster Davis/ Doucet/ J Russell/ Michael Clayton/ Devery Henderson

All those guys were there in the past couple of years, were dominant players, and went on to the NFL. It's one thing to bring in talent, but it's another thing to have them qualify and reach their potential.
