Happy Sunday to the Pack: After a weekend of vacationing, it was great to get back to the "man's life" of college football watching. Great BBQ ribs from my MSU friend, full stomach, a pulled back muscle and a Tiiiigaaaahhh victory made it this past weekend a painful yet enjoyable weekend. So basically, making a decision on what games to watch was a big deal for me this weekend. Proper decision making can always make or break momentum in one's game of life. We see good and bad decision making all the time. Today's talk will discuss recently poor decision making that may have caused serious consequences as a result. Exhibit A - Steve Phillips - This dude makes millions of dollars and uses his power to practice decision making on a cow â€¦errrâ€¦.mistressâ€¦.that looked like she's on her way to the slaughter house. What was he thinking? He was living the life commentating on ESPN about a game that I think most of America wishes the season would just get over with. Exhibit B - Replay officials booth referees in college football - What game are ya'll watching. I am pretty sure I have seen several instances over the past few seasons where these "yayhoos" are watching a different game than what's on my tv. How do you not call that fumble in the Florida - Miss. State game a fumble/touchback for the Bulldogs? Exhibit C - Daredevil Div. 1-A Coaches - I think Dan Mullen, Mike Leach and Tommy Tubberville must go to the same clinic on when to run fakes on 4th , going for it on 4th down and onside kicks. They fail to realize that when your team is just down by 1 score, that you are in the ball game. Don't hand the game to the other team by making a bone head decision. Exhibit D - Lane Kiffen - Did you really feel comfortable settling for a 45 yard FG attempt by a kicker that gets kicks blocked by blubber in the stomach. You have 30 seconds left on the clock. That wasn't necessarily playing "to win the game" as Herm Edwards would put it. Sure the Stallcion can play armchair QB, second guesser, or whatever the pack wants to call me, but we all do it. I see it daily on the message board. On another note - does anyone seeing a shift in the cream gap besides the Stallion. And now for the Week 8 Cream Rankings:

1) Alabama - The supposed cream gap fell about the same distance Mt. Cody's belly falls hangs below his football beltline.

2) Florida - Super Tebow is proving he's not so super anymore.

3) LSU - Strong performance by the Tigers. Stallion is recalling all of the doubters on the Pack. LSU may be climbing into the package of Florida and Alabama before year's end.

4) Ole Miss - Could the Mad Nutters be catching their stride down the stretch?

5) South Carolina - Just when you think the Gamecocks are getting better, they have 2 near misses against the East's garbage.
 
6) Arkansas - Defnitely showed a bit of carryover from the Florida loss.

7) Tennessee - Stallion isn't big on moving teams up the cream rankings after the loss, but Tennessee's defense and running game are legit.
 
8) Auburn - The Stallion's crystal ball was right on about his prediction on Auburn. No defense will eventually come out on the War Eagles.

9) Georgia - Did anyone know that Georgia didn't play this weekend? Wow how the once mighty Dawgs are an after thought.

10) Kentucky - The wildcats are no doubt the cream of the Sun Belt.

11) Miss. State - Johnathan Banks for Heisman!!!

12) Vanderbilt - Still looking for the cigar. Hot Boudin - LSU - Finally the play calling looked fluid and the Tigers look primed for a run against Bama in two weeks after Jordan Jefferson and Co. roll the War Eagles. Cold Couscous - Auburn - Apparently got the big head when they were 5-0, but the loss to Kentucky obviously carried over to Tiger Stadium. The Jarrett Lee Award sponsored by the GM Government Bailout Program. = Tennessee kicker Daniel Lincoln needs to learn the word elevation when kicking FGs. If Cody wasn't going to block it, I'm pretty sure the long snapper's *** was going too. Love, Stallion

I have a little more confidence than I did after the Florida game. It appears that McElroy is showing his inexperience finally. However that Bama defense is for real. We will really need to spread the ball around on offense but you can bet Saban will send an army in blitz packages at Jefferson just to keep him from getting rhythm. Good news is that we only have Tulane next week which is basically an open date for the Tigers. It should be an awesome game.

If Bama doesn't shut LSU out, it will be real close to a shutout.
And don't fool yourselves into thinking LSU's D is as good as Tennessee's. Bama can still run the ball, and it'll all depend on McElroy as to whether Bama wins 9-0 or 30-0

If Bama can't throw the ball, rest assure LSU will be ready for Bama's running game. LSU's defense is as good as Tennessee's right now.

I'll give you LSU is improving little by little, especially defensively, but the schedule is about to get rough w/ Bama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas so I could see LSU losing 2 out of 3 of those, if not all three.
But I just don't see any way they hang w/ Bama

I just can't get over the fact that MSU was clearly better than LSU on that day. LSU scored a defensive TD, a 97 yd punt return, and a 60 something yard pass, all three things that don't "normally" happen and could be considered "unearned." All that and MSU still should've won. 2 of those 3 things don't happen and MSU dominates that game.

the MSU v. LSU game. State had a gimme touchdown in that game too where the punter recovered a snap he should have had at the 1 ft. line. It was not a good game for LSU but that was several games ago.

You may be right about LSU losing 2 out of the next 3 games b/c they have to go on the road to Ole Miss and to Alabama. Nevertheless, LSU could win all three of these games and will be favored in 2 out of 3 most likely unless they lay an egg in Tuscaloosa. I didn't realize that Bama had the week off next week which is not good for LSU but anything can happen.

LSU WILL BE FIRED UP FOR ALABAMA - GUARANTEED!!!

I will be very happy with Bulldog football. On the fake punt, I dont blame him. Our offense was not working, and we needed to take a shot to win.

but you're wrong my friend. Your defense was putting you in positions to score...hell, they were scoring. You were only down by 3 points and in the game. If your offense was stinking it up that bad as you say, then you must keep it close to win the game. Basically you are conceding the game if you don't make it b/c your offense was playing that poorly (or UF's defense is that good too).
