Miami would be interesting with old foe Mark Richt there now. Him wanting to show he is still an SEC caliber coach. Also he has a pretty good record against UK.

The offensive scheme for Tech could potentially cause some problems for our D. With the extra time and practices devoted to one game. You would think the coaches could come up with a defensive game plan to stop them.

Myself I would prefer to play Miami. It could help open up recruiting in Florida. The biggest problem is the distance could potentially make it similar to a home game for them.

Miami doesn't draw that well at home. The BBN would rule in the stands.

I honestly don't have the slightest clue on how well Miami packs the stands. But just my assumption that it being a bowl game and relatively close to home would help them draw more fans than their average regular season game.

I would love Miami since I graduated from there. Would love to play them I win in both cases and travel would be nice.

Relatively close? It's like a 6 hour drive!

Yes relatively close. Its roughly 5 hours from Miami to Jacksonville as compared to around 11 hours from Lexington to Jacksonville. I'm also going off the train of thought that not all Hurricane fans have to live in Miami. I would assume they are scattered through the state some closer some farther. Just like UK fans in Kentucky.

I lived in Sarasota for 5 years. Outside of Miami metro, there is no Miami following, and even within the city, they're an afterthought.

We took 40,000 to the Outback Bowl; there's no reason to expect anything less if we're in Jacksonville. We'd easily have a LOT more fans there than Miami.

The drive is around 9 to 12 hours from everywhere in Kentucky to Jacksonville and only around 5 hours from Miami to there. We do have a pretty good following throughout the south though. Miami has historically had poor attendance in their own city and I would bet Jacksonville is loaded up with Gator and Seminole fans with a small population of Hurricane fans. So any advantage they would have with the game being in their own state is virtually nil. Plus you know Kentucky fans love a good bowl trip to Florida. We brought like 40k to Tampa Bay for the Outback Bowl. I have been saying possible TaxSlayer Bowl from the moment we hit 6 wins and hope that I am right.

Not really. Miami fans are much more like UofL...not many fans outside of Dade county and the surrounding area.

Used to make the Miami/Kentucky drive all of the time. Yes, Miami to Jacksonville isn't super close, but not bad compared to most drives from Miami. It's like Bowling Green to Atlanta which seems like nothing.

We will have thousands and thousands more fans than would Miami. They do not travel to their own stadium, much less to Jax for a middle-tier bowl game.

Agree with others above I want no part of Georgia tech and playing that scheme. Miami would be a dream bowl opponent b/c they're a big name but they're beatable. They are good though, UK would be a sizeable underdog.
