Spurs win by 2 - Final.
Klay Thompson is going to be very big in this series. The Spurs had a real tough time guarding him and Curry until he fouled out. Kid is good.
Its youth vs experience. Its like when we would play the sweaty old 30year olds at the Y when I was in high school.
Spurs- a 7 man rotation of Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Diaw, Bonner, Green, and Leonard have played in a combined 639 playoff games.
Warriors- a 7 man rotation of Curry, Thompson, Jack, Landry, Barnes, Bogut, and Green have played in a combined 85 games. This is the first time for 4 guys to be in the playoffs, and its only veteran Bogut's 2nd time.
Danny Green of the Spurs has more playoff experience than all but 1 of the Warriors players listed above.
Crazy how much experience is on the Spurs roster, and more importantly, on the court.
Kawhi Leonard is an absolute jack of all trades player. Hustles, guards multipe positions well, can shoot and finish in the lane- really a cool player to watch.
I never thought Danny Green would be much of an NBA player while he was at UNC. He was a good college player, but damn his shooting has translated well, and he has become much better at penetrating off the shot fake.
As for Golden State, Barnes is a lot of fun to watch. He doesnt dominate by any means, but its his rookie year and you can see that he will continue to improve with experience. He got more aggressive in their games against Denver last round than he was in a lot of regular season games.
I hope this round goes 7 games! Ive always loved the Spurs since a kid and they are the ultimate franchise- no bitching to the media, play as a team, smart players, great draft and trade decisions- but the Warriors are a ton of fun to watch.
