The reaction of his peers, waiting for him to come off the green...being truly happy for him....shows that he has the respect of fellow players...for me that is the true redemption. For all he has been through, he has made his way back as a better person. I judge how you improve yourself and others after making poor choices..he has shown that he is back as a golfer and a genuine person.

Sorry I pissed in your corn flakes "soldier." Yes everybody makes mistakes. Sorry I just don't like him. Molinari was trying to talk to him just to make conversation between holes and Tiger wouldn't look at him....JERK.....Not "mad" at all just hope he doesnt catch Jack. Not half the man Nicklaus is.....OFC
Well I don't eat corn flakes, now if you said captain crunch, then we may have a problem. Jerk because he didn't talk during an intense match with his opponent? Ok. Your opinion on whether he is half the man somebody else is or was.

I think Woods wins because of the gallery. They will be full throated in support for him. Not a Woods fan,and frankly surprised so many are, but think he wins with practically a home field advantage. OFC

Predicted it last nite when others were saying he had never won a major when trailing going into 4th rd, and practically anointing Molinari. Wish Mo had won, good guy, Tiger kind of blew his handshake off after it was over....OFC

Soldier in quotation marks? Yikes, that’s a different level in this board.

A wise man once said, “the mistakes of others are none of my own.”

I’ve also liked “my missteps are too heavy to carry someone else’s.”

Tiger did some dirty stuff, but that’s his life. He learned from it, and clearly has come out better than he went in. Not sure when we’ve become a society so unwilling to forgive. The amount of care about a celebrity’s life is a bit much at times.

I think of it like the 2007 Patriots. I am a Panthers fan, but I just wanted to see 19-0.

I’m not following..? Haha
You said nobody is perfect! You must not have been reading the game day threads or any other feel-good threads here. I use to think the same thing until I started posting here. If only I had never made a bad decision or mistake in my 52 years of life, I too could be one of the few, the proud, the perfect lol.

^ it’s called focus. Sunday of masters isn’t the time for small talk. Tiger is an absolute beast! Tiger didn’t beat a women or kid etc etc- he got some side ***. I’m not judging. If I’m a women I might not marry him (prolly still would) but I’m a golf fan and tiger is golf. The only sports related thing better then today is Duke banners.

We all have our differences, but as long as you're a Duke fan:

Only time will tell if Tiger is TRULY BACK. I'LL give you "focus," can he STAY focused and prove this weekend is not a flash in pan. Can he stay on straight and narrow, live a clean life and not let his alter ego take over?? Thats the test now. Tiger's only weakness as shown in past is Tiger.... OFC

HEY no worries sir, and I wasnt belittling your service. I was HONORING IT. IT deseves quotations, because so many have lost respect for our vets and disdained them. We can have our differences but I salute you... OFC
Oh, I didn't take it as such either. I didn't catch it at first, but I know it's some great people here and disagreements don't change that for me.

I’ve always been more of a Phil guy over Tiger....but I found myself pulling pretty ardently for Tiger today. I think it’s one of the better sports stories in quite some time. Emotional, too. Just think....a 14-year gap between Masters wins, and 22 years since he won his first. Wow!

Lastly, I think it’s fair to say Tiger was a bit of a prick back in the day. Life humbled him, though. It does for most of us at one point or another. I don’t know him and never will, but I think he’s clearly more gregarious and easy going than he once was. I don’t mind his competitiveness or not talking to someone during a round. I mean, Phil was always like that. MJ is worst I’ve ever seen. Gretzky was said to be downright mean on the ice. Coach K has had moments.

So, how does this compare to Jack winning it in 1986?

I have argued with my friends that Jack's Masters win in 1986 will be among the top ten sports story lines in my lifetime.

Zion coming back for his sophomore year would crack that top 10 by the way. :D

And Hart I never meant that you should or should not like him. That is completely your choice. I just couldn’t understand that someone who likes or doesn’t like him was confused as to why he gets the attention he gets. If you saw the amount of other players waiting to congratulate him after the tournament you’d see a lot of players that appreciate the memories both past and current. And Im sure they all appreciate the size of the paycheck they all cash on a weekly basis. That is because of Tiger Woods.

It was a little bit anti-climactic in the end, but happy to see Tiger win. However you may feel about him, his winning just brought a whole lot of extra excitement to the golf world.

Also loved the moment earlier in the broadcast when Faldo got choked up remembering his win 30 years ago. What a special tournament.

Tiger knows how to play this golf course. Tiger on number twelve hit the ball on the perfect line. The two things that separate Tiger from the other pros are his mental approach to the game and iron play.
