I have just been notified that at Upton Tire Pros today, they have a business center and there was one former MSU basketball coach reading SIXPACKSPEAK.COM.

Welcome coach.

easily one of the greatest turnaround coaching jobs ever in any sport in Division I. But we're definitely better off with Stans than we would have been if Williams had stayed on.

there are a lot of people on the Miss State Athletic staff that reads the six pack. I just wish Bo Bounds would read a little more and realize that his radio show still sux. I tried it again today and when he talks, he and that other guy sounds like they are still in high school. Grow up Bo! You closet homo.

as a radio show. The interviews are great and he does a good job both getting talent and interviewing them. He, the Leprachan Pimp, et. al. all sound like they are 14 and contradict themselves continuously. If AM reception wasn't so bad on my route, I would listen ALOT less.

This has probably been stated but I can handle Bo until he gets into his "lifestyle" rant. Nobody really cares about YOUR game day beer or shopping at the Rogue. I know these are plugs for sponsors and all but dude, really? A lifestyle?

The other guy he has on there however is a <17> douche bag. He must bankroll the show because I can think of no other reason he should be on there. His sentence structure is terrible and his knowledge is absolutely terrible. Ex: "Hey Bo-why do you think no more South Panola players get divison one scholarships than they do?" Really? Moron you really have to ask that?

I can barely listen to him anymore. His incessant Sports/Business parallels are just about as bad as the lifestyle rants.
I mean, <17> we get it! The only people listening are those who own or work in a business. Does he think we are all up and out of the house a 7 am to go to Mr Belveders Fan Club meetings? Bo should also send Chuck & Doug a Christmas card every year for providing absolutely "ZERO" competition.

And yes, I yell-typed that to get your attention. Those guys are hilarious. Bo is sorta boring and Chuck/Doug are too damn silly.

They have fun and don't take themselves too seriously - which is exactly what I like in a sports station. If I want serious I'll listen to ESPN.

During my years at State we spent tons of time at the Hump. Usually we would go to class and then head over to watch practice and do a little homework when things were boring. I would guess my Junior and Senior year I probably went to about 60% of the afternoon practices. When you do that you get to know the coaches in a fan kinda way. Richard used to come over sometimes while they were running the boring drills and chat so one day he came over and commented on how we were always there. One of us commented that we were "the super fans" and Richard replied, "nah, if you were super fans you would be here for the 6 a.m. shoot around". Turns out two of us had that damn 7:00a class in Allen Hall that year (was it Sociology? can't remember but the good teacher would only teach it at 7:00a) so we got our asses up the next morning at 5:45a and trudged to the Hump. Richard called us the Super Fans for the rest of the year.

Also, if you didn't know it Richard could be a real dick during practice (which is what made it so fun to watch). I remember one day, I think it was Greg Anderson, was coming down the court on layup drills and instead went for the dunk. He clanged it off the rim and Richard immediately stopped practice hollering "a dunk is a one-hundred percent shot" at the top of his lungs. So he lined up everyone on the end line, except Greg, and made them run suicides. Funny ****.

I have tons of Dick stories. A great coach and a god guy. Hate he went out the way he did and hope things are going well for him.

One thing for sure, there were lots of Dick stories pertaining to him but we also are much better off with Stans than "Dick".

Richard was one hell of a coach and has done the one thing that Stans will never do, make it to the final four...
