With everybody flipping out about going to the Music City Bowl, what was ever decided on what the actual selection rules are? I thought that it had been established that a 6 win team could not be selected before a 8 win team? If so, there is no possible way for us to fall to Music City unless the SEC only gets on in the BCS.

As long as there are enough bowl slots available for all of the bowl eligible teams to fill (which there are), there is basically no restrictions on who the bowls can select.

Let's hope that someone stands up for us. Getting jumped by Tennessee would be the biggest screwing of all time.

if they let not only a 7-5 team but ALSO a 6-6 team be picked for a bowl over us at 8-4 it will allow the SEC bowl selection process to be turned into a total joke. And I don't care what the rules do or do not say.
