Would Brown agree to the hiring of an offensive coordinator? Satursday’s game shows he might have too many responsibilities to do a good job all around. Game may have turned out differently. That being said - evident we don’ have the fire power of most teams in Big 12 - doesn’t seem to be much innovation in his play calling. Even OK who ran and passed up and down the field used s little trickery. Some day he may become a Lincoln Riley or Mike.Gundy when he has more to work with but at this time with four games remaining and needing three wins it is going to take more than “one yard and a cloud of dust” to gain some momentum going into next year.

Brown is the coach. He decides if there's an OC and if so, who it is. You can't micromanage a coach like that, telling him to hire an OC or whatever. Brown is the coach, let him be and see how he does over the course of a few years.

The defense played well in this game and showed there is talent there if coached and prepared properly.

Its pretty clear Brown's offenses are simply not going to produce results though. Agree an offensive coordinator with experience competing against the best of the P5 is needed. Playing a sunbelt offense where you score once or twice a game (but it doesn't matter cause the other team can't score either) is not going to get things done at this level.

The running game results are about as bad as witnessed anywhere in memory in all of college football and shows a complete ineptitude in that area never seen before at WVU-at least not in the modern area of football.

Fair enough.

I don’t think it’s clear at all. I think for the most part the plays called would work if executed. Stop the penalties and drops. Let AKs Hand heal. Target Campbell, Jennings and Esdale more. Beef up our center and see what they can do. It’s a mistake to draw too many conclusions about our O from the Baylor game. The strength of their team is their D.

I do think we should have run Leddie on 3rd and 2.

I agree with this. WVU lost 48 yds on 2 bad snaps. There were 4 drops that hit wr right in the hands, some were easy first downs. They were probably 100 yds lost (which wins the game) between the drops and bad snaps.

Our Oline has to get better or the offensive coordinator is irrelevant. It’s also why a lot of the criticism at Kendall is head scratching cause we don’t yet know given we haven’t had a traditional running game and that guy has been running for his life albeit at a slower speed.

Buck - think it might be a bit too early to judge Brown's offense as "not going to produce results though." IMHO suggest that any evaluation should really be done after a least three years.

You can't reason with the likes of Buck.
