Henderson got a big fat F for his base running grade that inning.

Did he get the green light to go home or was that his own decision? Somebody badly 17ed up, especially after seeing that near tag in the 4th inning.

the ball didn't even get through in the outfield. I would assume though that was on the 3rd base coach unless Henderson ran through a stop sign. Only chance to score there would have been a wild throw home.

I actually agree with sending him. Henderson is a good runner, and you are putting the pressure on the defense to make a play they probably won't make 7 out of 10 times. With the way we hit, those are better odds. Only with 2 outs though.

Vandy had to make perfect relay and did. Not a problem.

Ya'll would have creamed your pants if it worked and talked about what a great call it was......

I agree that a fast runner "typically" scores on a double there, but at the same time you can't be a 17ing idiot as a 3rd base coach and just say, "well, the 2nd baseman has it, and Demarcus is about to hit third, but hell the percentages say he'll score", and then send him. You have to judge it case by case, and Yastremzski cut that ball off...it wasn't your typical gapper.
