He did a few good things, I admit. He recruited decent players everywhere but QB. Discipline. But that's....about.....it.<div>
</div><div>Running the WCO with Omarr Conner. Good grief. And Michael Henig is living proof of what happens when SEC caliber football players meet with non-SEC caliber football players on an SEC football field. Fant got killed worse than Henig. Fant was just 6-2 and was more able to take the pounding.</div><div>
</div><div>Croom should be ashamed of himself putting Henig in that lose-lose situation to begin with. But Henig gave it all he had and you have to appreciate that. </div>

Cause this article has a couple of statements that are simply not true
1. Omar Conner was not a part of that 07 wide out group you called great, he graduated in 06.
2. Auburn was not the very next game after the 6 pick performance, the next game was actually a win against Tulane in the superdome.

I just quoted him as he stated it so that's why it seems off. I actually put previous season in the parenthesis originally but it was changed. So, I actually made that clear so before you jump down my throat I did notice that. I will notify the editor about the the game after pick six thing.

There have been very few if any more guttesy players at MSU than Mike Henig...even with all the physical problems he had while playing for us, he always gave 115%, and will always be one of my favorites...

...that Henig earned a lot of unfair criticism. He was a victim of the ****** offense that Croom ran and the ****** offensive line he had to play behind. On top of that, I'm glad that he's remained dedicated to the program.

That said, you really are a ****** writer. Several of your facts are incorrect, and your **** is more painful to read that David Murray's. And that's saying something.

Those who choose only to remember the LSU game should go back and watch a replay of the 2006 win over Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Henig played great and showed in that game the ability he had. I really wish that State fans would not give him such a bad rap. He loved State and despite all the crap so many State fans give him, his family still pulls big for State, displaying that big MSU banner on the front of their Montgomery store the weekend of every MSU vs Auburn game.

Im not trying to be "cool". I tell you exactly how I feel or what I'm thinking. I don't give a **** if some random person who is sitting behind their computer wants to track every post I write and then try and start some **** by talking smack on a 17ing MSG board. If that's how you get your giggles, then by all means...be my guest. Just know that no relevant or mature adult gives a ****.

he had to play for. Yet, he went out and sacrificed his body for MSU every saturday only to get injuries that will affect him the rest of his life. Yeah he threw a lot of picks, but he had some good games too like has been pointed out. Not saying he was great by any means but he had one of the strongest arms of any qb that has ever played for state.

It's "recurring" not "reoccuring". When you misspell a word in your word processor, does it not alert you?And does your editor or publisher not see it underlined in red when he pastes it into Wordpress?<div>
</div><div>No one should be the grammar police or spelling nazi on a message board. But this is stuff you're passing off as journalism. So send it to your high school english teacher or college prof to proof it for you before hand.</div><div>
</div><div>But to the article's content, it's good to hear from Mike. I always hoped he'd be successful. Hoped he'd prove some disbelievers wrong. But instead he kept getting hurt. Seemed like he had brittle bones or something. Glad he's still a fan and supports the Bulldogs.</div><div>
</div><div>Who's next on your interview list?

Good article. Henig comes across as a man who deserves respect. Your piece helps me to understand him better. And it is incredible that we had those receivers on one team.

You're getting a lot of advice here, and some of it is valid. The grammar and spelling have to be correct.

As far as the style goes, my advice would be to keep going but also to read the best sportswriters and appreciate their stuff by making your own sharper and stronger. Get into the real stuff.

By the way, have you seen the Wall Street Journal piece on our Final Four team? I think it was published about ten years ago, but you might be able to find it if you're interested.

QUIT THROWING THE GODDAMN BALL LAZILY IN THE AIR ACROSS THE MIDDLE WOULD HELP MORE THAN ANYTHING. I have seen a lot of ****** OLs and bad QBs and I have not seen but one throw for 6 picks in a game. That takes special ******.
