Here comes Tebow time...

Seriously, teams just GIVE him chances to win the games. The Bears just left WRs wide open all over the field. That has at least as much to do with ****** play by the other team as it does Tebow.

and if Marion Barber had not gone out of bounds this game would have been over... Just..my goodness.. Did Denver really become God's team?

I've never seen so many teams just hand victory away to another team. But it happens every freaking week for this guy. Would love to have some of that "luck" here at MSU

And if the Broncos had just caught the onside kick when it was in their hands then Barber wouldn't have done that. I mean come on, stuff like that happens. Give Tebow some credit here. He did bring them down the field for the touchdown and to put them in FG range. He's not doing it on his own but dont discount it.

Now that most people are finally coming around to admitting that maybe Les is a pretty damn good coach after, they had to find someone else to cry, "It's all luck" about. Tebow has the most 4th quarter comebacks of any QB in the league the last 2 years. And he didn't even play in almost half of the games.

I'm not discrediting him. It's a fact had Barber stayed in bounds that play, this game would have been over if nothing bad happened on the following play. That doesn't discredit or speak well for Tebow. It's a neutral statement for him and a negative for Barber.

It happens EVERY week for him. Last week the Vikings threw an INT right to the Broncos in a spot with no Vikings in the area to gift wrap his win in that game. He definitely plays strong late, but he wouldn't have won even half of these games if the other team didn't just absolutely **** the bed at the end of the game to let him win...

**** if "stuff like this happens" how come it absolutely never happens at MSU?

And its a fact that the two broncos knocked the ball out of each others hands on the onside kick. Had they recovered that, then the Bears wouldn't have gotten the ball back for Barber to run out of bounds. That's all I'm saying. Trust me I know Barber royally messed up with that and the fumble. But it wasn't only his doing that Tebow and the Broncos won. Tebow still had to make the plays to score and get the field goal. But like others have said, Prater deserves a ton of credit and a payday. I just think its ridiculous how some people will still give credit to everyone except Tebow (and I'm not saying that's you, just in general.)

I don't remember the year, 1998-1999, maybe the year we went to SECCG

Auburn, down by 10 or 14 with a couple of minutes left in the game and we come back and win
LSU, we score a touchdown with under a minute to win but review shows our guy down at the two
Ole Miss, they're ahead, decide to throw the pass, it's tipped, kicked and then picked off, we come back and win at the end

Also basketball - in the 90's, down by 15 to Arkansas withabout 4 to 5 minutes to play, come back with a bunch of threes and win the game

that play wasn't as much of a mistake on the Bronco's player as it was the ball not bouncing in their way. Barber was not thinking clearly when he went out of bounds and that should have been prevented. I don't think that can be legitimately compared to the failed onside recovery.

No denying that. I'm just saying that is not the only thing that happened here. Plays like that happen sometimes. They are mistakes, but they happen. I remember Dixon did it against Kentucky the game he went for 252. That one didn't come back to hurt us. This hurt the Bears. But people make mistakes. Rivers fumbling a snap earlier in the year when all he had to do was take a knee is another one. Its a mistake. And they can cost you games, IF the other team takes advantage. Tebow has made people pay for their mistakes. That's really what you can say about him. I definitely feel like the team deserves just as much credit as he does, but as the QB he is going to get the credit.

We're trying to make the comeback against Arkansas and our QB threw a pass that the Ark. DB or safety just flat out dropped. If he holds on to the INT we don't win that game.

There's a video of the comeback on YouTube.

I thought there was another game that year. Made some big field goals. I went to every game. I think that year is what cemented Sherill in MSU lore.

What replay are you looking at? Todd Christensen (a true jerk, and a lousy announcer whose incompetence doomed his broadcast career) went nuts claiming the replay showed we didn't score. But one angle sure looked like a score to me, and it looked like a score to the two wing officials.

We had plenty of "lucky" things go our way. I haven't gone back to those since we played them so I guess my memory's a little fuzzy about the details.

As far as the other post, what review did I see? - who knows now, I haven't looked for a replay online, I just remember the guy looked like he was crawling into the endzone and it's stuck with me since then. Just because two officials "saw" itone way, doesn't mean they're right, thus we have replay now. Seems a lot of others thought he was down too. The point being, though, was that MSU has had some "lucky"things happen.
