Here in Oklahoma, locals are acting as if the SEC is dead

It won't die. I said this before the NC game against ND. Even if the SEC team loses, which looks much more likely in 2014 than 2013, there is too much money, talent, and coaching talent for this conference to be anywhere but the top 1 or 2.

Stoops is wrong!

Seems to me the top of the SEC might not be that great, and that the lower level teams are doing just fine.

Hey I'll give it to OU.

They played a hell of a ball game. I don't think it shows that much weakness from the standpoint of the SEC. Sometimes teams just play well and win.

Georgia is the only team that has looked like ****, but half their team is out...

Saw a retweet that said, "congrats OK, now go take on LSU next week, then Auburn, then A&M, then AR, MSU, and Ole Miss and thats just the SEC West."

Same thing happened in the 2008 Sugar losing to Utah then Bama wins 3 out of the next 4 NC. Auburn can still keep the streak alive. Will the OU fans still be saying the SEC is dead then?

OU played a great game though. They s/b happy.

The SEC will be 7-2 after the Vandy game, and should have won the other two. Unfortunately, both losses have been to Big 12 teams so their momentary elation. There's no doubt that OU's win was a good one. Two big teams in the SEC let the conference down. I guess Alabama was only geared to play hard in the NC game.

Stoops is talking so much **** all of the sudden. Was he talking **** last year when his team got throttled by a&m in the cotton bowl? Or when his teams lost in the national championship to sec schools in the past 5+ years? oR how about the time when Boise st beat him in the fiesta bowl? Or when texas, a team that lost to a bad byu and average ole miss teams, beat the **** out of his team this year? I think its funny as the next person that bama lost to Oklahoma but to suggest sec is running second behind another concfernce in football is beyond ridiculous.

SEC is 6-2 in bowl games. 1 of the losses was with a backup QB and the other was with 7 turnovers.
