we don't have the players to compete in the SEC at the top level...and we never will. You can get away with it in basketball and maybe baseball, but in football one or two weak positions will kill you. Not the coaches fault, not the players fault, just the way it is.

On offense, we have Sherrod and thats it. We have nobody on offense that can say "Hey I've been here before and this is what we should do." Until we get impact seniors on offense, we won't be able to compete.

line up and run the ball down the opponent's throat and throw an occasional pass. We don't have the speed to play like UF

Why even bother being a fan of a team that you think will never be able to compete for championships? Either pick a different team or stop watching football. Sure, we are nowhere close this year, and haven't been for a decade, but that has 100% to do with Sherrill running the program into the ground and Croom shoveling dirt on it, not with the name of our team.

however I graduated from State, so State it is. I compare it to loving a kid that turns out to be one that stays in trouble or continually screws up. You still love him, even though you wish he could get his act together. You know he won't be a doctor, but youjust keep rooting for him and hope he lands a steady job. That is being an MSU fan in a nutshell.

run the football untill it is absolutely necessary to pass. When you do this your defense stays fresh, their offense is on the sideline and you give yourself a chance to win. Up against superior talent you have to do what you can do is best to give yourself a chance to win. You can't get cute.

I was at the SEC championship game and probably 150 other games over the past 20 plus years. I'm just stating my opinion. Grow some thick skin. You will need it if you plan on rooting for the Dogs for any length of time.
