I think I posted this last year on the old board but couldn't find it.
Anyway, the following actually happened to me last year about two weeks before football season:
I left work on a Friday at about 4:30 and was driving home. Cruising through G-Town, I passed by J. Crew and figured "I've got some time, lets see if they've got any khakis or anything on sale" (Don't know why I thought this, they never do). The guy (20-ish) working in the men's section starts talking to me about football when he sees that I've got a State shirt on. It quickly becomes clear that he's an Ole Miss fan/student, and we proceed to have a very cordial 10-or-so minute long conversation about expectations for the season, the difficulty of winning in the SEC, A&M possibly joining, etc. Well, I'm standing in front of a table with a bunch of shorts on it, and he mentions he just bought a pair. Then the following three sentences actually came out of his mouth...
"The only shopping I've done recently is for stuff for the grove"
"Yeah I'm trying to put together some outfits for the grove"
"I just took my navy blazer to the tailor to get fixed so I can have it in time for the grove"
I said "Yeah, probably gotta get it fixed from spilling **** on it and falling over and tearing it," as if to say "Dude, you party so hard." He said "yep" and I said "Alright man, well you have a good one" and I turned around and walked away.
To recap for those of you who may have missed it, the kid used the word OUTFITS when describing what he was "putting together" for football season. And not even for football games, but for the social experience that is the grove...
