He just made the best hire we’ve ever made in any sport.
This is the kinda guy that stays until he retires. This is what the pigs and Rebs have had that we haven’t…. consistency. And we are still a elite-ish program. This will only make us that much stronger.
He was by far the biggest name on our board. Kudos to Selmon for getting this wrapped up before anybody else could grab him!

Portal opens tomorrow. You want everyone to know who the new coach is as soon as possible. This gives O’Conner a head start on going after who he wants.

We will never be able to hold on to an AD like Selmon. He’s the new Ninja. He had us fooled the whole time.
This is what Mississippi State needed! An absolute home run hire to pick up the program and give State fans to hope again. This is one of the very few times expectations met reality in a coaching search. Cherish this moment boys. This doesn’t happen every day.
Think this is a stretch. Zimmerman was the easy hire ready to get his chance was going to be at State or somewhere else, jury is still very out on Lebby. But I guess batting .333 will get you in the hall of fame.

Could be argued Zimmerman was the easy hire but I think results will show he was the best hire. And not sure how easy it really was. The NC State job was his for the taking.
Selmon went big game hunting and got it done. That just turned a lot of heads from the big boy presidents of other blue blood programs in football. I had my doubts on Selmon in the past but he has proved me wrong with this. Big time. But I'll say this is why you hire the guy that played sports and decided to do sports business over a coach. Big time!
