I wonder if the reason so many have been so critical of the speed at which Cohen is turning around the baseball program is because of the quickness of what Coach Mullen has been able to do with the football team.

I think it has more to do with us putting a lot of our identity into being a good baseball school. We have high expectations for the program and we are going to be pretty restless until it gets fixed.

It may also have something to do with the head coach starting a shortstop who couldn't find first base with a GPS system. Or maybe that's just me....

I think most people see improvement and I doubt there will be much calling for Cohen's head this season.

I wonder if the reason so many have been so critical of the speed at which Cohen is turning around the baseball program is because of the quickness of what Coach Mullen has been able to do with the football team.

We havent won the SEC since 1989 in baseball- and its been 10 years or so since we won the West- but we are a "baseball school" because we kept making the NCAA Tourney

On the other hand, we have won the SEC in basketball in 1991 and 2004, plus have numberous West titles- but we dont make the Tourney all that often- but to them we are doing ok in basketball.
