Yes! Keep them coming dude. I think most people enjoy them. I know I do being about 10 hours from Starkville.

Also the sycamore tree in the junction came down today..

Thanks for this... I was the one wanting to know about the elevation difference on the east side...

One would think this lends credence to the idea that an east side renovation is on the horizon -- after all, that's quite an elevation difference to overcome and there's basically nothing they can do there that won't look half ***...

Been in the stadium hundreds of times and never noticed this...

You can see the outline of the planks they used to build the molds forms for the supports during one of the construction projects. Wonder if it was 1936 or 1948... I suspect 1936.

What the 17!!? Why the hell did we cut down one of the oldest trees on campus? I know it had storm damage a couple of years ago but it still added something to the junction. That **** pisses me off.

It got hit by lightning (or maybe it was wind?) and basically blew the entire top off. Dr. Meints said at one time that the prognosis for it wasn't very good anyway.

On the east side, that's what all the beams look like.

Couldn't they have taken down the tree after last season and already have...

another planted? Also, don't know if it is still standing, but there is an old oak near the florist shop that looked terrible last year. It should be replaced as well.

it chaps my *** to think how much money was blown on landscaping (particularly around the new athletic buildings) that was murdered by poor soil conditions or lack or proper irrigation. half the seal jr building is covered in **** that is almost tumble-weed-esque. as a former landscaping guy, it was a **** tone of money and effort wasted and apparently, is acceptable by our grounds crews.
