ANOTHER BIG MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME SATURDAY

We will have another important men's basketball game on the campus this
weekend when coach Rick Stansbury and his team hosts Ole Miss at 12 noon on
Saturday. It is a big football recruiting weekend for coach Dan Mullen, as
well.

Being first class in how we operate is one of the five defining principles
around which we run this athletic program, and we know that you will conduct
yourself with character. The basketball game will be televised regionally, we
will have a lot of visitors on the campus, and we want to make sure we put our
best foot forward.

Thank you for your continued attendance and we encourage you to be loud in
support of YOUR Men's Basketball team. We remind all students that gates open
one and a half hours prior to tip and to arrive early for the best seats.

I had to laugh at how vague it is yet it seems very specific. If you don't want your mug shot plastered in arenas around the SEC, don't get arrested.

I agree that we should try to be respectful human beings...to everyone. Heckling during basketball games is part of your job as a fan. Now, there are obviously limits to what you should do. For example, do not make fan of dead people or mentally/physically handicapped people. Do however, spare no expense in making fun of a man that has obviously zero regard for his personal image.

And Chad Thomas is right...it is a big recruiting weekend, and high school guys love nothing more than making fun of other guys for having a certain incapacities.

MSU attempted in a small way to cover their *** with this statement. Now... let the students uphold their responsibility as good little fans

Isn't a limp dick considered "handicapped"?

Making fun of the handicapped is OK, especially if you consider erectile dysfunction to be a handicap. And I do.</p>

I don't mind the University trying to cover its ***, by saying be respectful. But trying to tell people not to heckle is ridiculous.

that I fully expect heckling and abuse. It's called home court advantage. It defines the SEC. And if your coaches are good enough to kick a cab driver's ***, then they are good enough to take the abuse of the SEC fans from other schools. Personally, I think your fans should dress in green/white striped outfits and give him hell. Had the same happened to Stansbury, I guarandamntee you I would.

It probably would not be good for the student section to all show up with a foot long uncooked bratwurst to hold up all during the game. That may be a bit over the top.

I thnk the University did the right thing by sending out the statement. Now, everyone should go out and do their duty as a fan. No school in the country would let their rival coach get away with this ****. I expect there to be a good showing from the fans. We didn't let down during pillowgate, there's no way we can let down here
