LSU: Spokesman Herb Vincent said new LSU running backs coach/recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson will be paid $325,000 per year and receivers coach/passing game coordinator Billy Gonzales will be paid $285,000.

It seems that I read that Torbush, defensive coordinator, was the highest paid assistant we had and he was making $260,000.

After all, Miles makes more than 3 times what Mullen does. That's not to say I would expect LSU's RB coach to make 3x what ours is paid, but it doesn't surprise me.

that no one has actually gotten a check from the new TV contract. We should be able to be more competitive with salaries if all things stay somewhat equal. Of course this means that teams like LSU could just escalate the coaching salaries even further. I have to believe there comes a point where you just can't spend more money on football. That's probably not until all SEC schools have billion dollar stadiums but there has to be some tipping point.
