Dumpster fire continues at Texass

Not sure if thats confirmed but last week I read a report that Herman was looking for opportunities leave Texas, which was probably the final straw for him.

He seemed like a real jerk. They way schools fought over him (LSU) like he was the next Urban Meyer was ridiculous.

Can’t be true. Surely our fake Texass fan has the scoop on this development. When he’s done rotating the curly fries, he’ll fill us in...

I kind of feel for little Tommy Herman now. Texas pretty much stuck horn up his a$$ and told him enjoy now leave.

Not to be sanctimonious because everyone deserves a second chance and being an alcoholic shouldnt keep doors shut in your life if you have gotten better, but Sark has already shown he can't handle this type of high profile job/stress.

That's not to say he shouldn't be a head coach, but I dont think Texas with its bright spot light and pressure isnt the best spot for him.

FYI, his alcohol problems weren't just a USC problem. It was known and suspected during his time at Washington.

I hope he is better. I understand his job at Bama isnt an easy one, I just think this might end poorly and he would better coaching somewhere with supervision and not with the keys to program.

Agreed. He should have gone to a lower level Big 10 school like Iowa and toil under a smaller spotlight.
Hopefully his AA sponsor will be coming with him.

Probably better to remain an assistant who is supervised. It's not like he cant make a great living doing that...

Also, showing up to work publicly drunk is normally something that prevents you from getting prestigious jobs.

You'd think there is a good coach out there minus the baggage and potential headaches...his issues are ones that just go away. They can easily come back, and usually do for alcoholics.

C'mon, this is football. This sport has credibly accused murderers, convicted wife beaters, serial drug offenders, and armed robbers (and they're pulling guns AFTER being millionaires!) suiting up every Saturday and Sunday. All to deafening cheers in stadiums that can seat more than the population of WV's two largest cities.

Football is the perfect home for the dregs of society. In what other world could a "man" like michael vick and ray lewis receive universal worship?

But at Texas Sarkisian can cheat and pay players and never have to worry about the NCAA.

Herman was given a 2 year extension through 2023 at several million $$$ per year. Then. Hey, Tom. We don't want you anymore. But here, take these several million $$$$$. You won't have to work another day in your life.

Coaches don't pay players. Boosters do.

Boosters weren't going to help Herman ianymore. If the AD gets a call from a bunch of people who say they will no longer open up their wallet the AD has to listen.

Herman jump started the program and if Texas wins deserves at least some credit

Because he inherited a program that wasn't going. Sark is jumping in his car that is moving down the road

The question is how fast.

That OL/RB combo will force teams to have to get downhill. If not Texas will run all day. If they do go downhill.

All about having a QB and WR who can make the needed plays.

Their offense and OUs offense is where WVU needs to be.

Just need the QB and develop another RB

This thread isn't about WVU it's about Texas not being able to find a coach. But yet again you try to change what a thread is about.

Read what was written.

WVU won't be able to compete with teams who create chunk plays with their running game 1/3 of the time unless they can.

Texas was creating a chunk play with a true freshman Bijan Robinson the last two games every time he touched the ball.
He averaged 18 ypc in the bowl game and averaged 8 ypc during the year.

Here is your toy thread for changing topics. Stick in it.

Move along, troll.

WVU isn't magically going to jump pass Texas because of Herman being fired.
They fired Herman because he had to deal with the **** the next coach won't have to. Next coach won't have a 6-6 Year 1.

Little lady. You need to remember what board you're on. It's not Texas Forum. Who the hell said anything about WVU jumping Texas? Shew, what a dweeb.

You are a ****** poster.

You tell me in one thread to talk about WVU than in another not to

Go enjoy life, Allen.
