Scared. That's the only word I can come up with. Scared. Playing not to lose.

His recruiting is sub par, he allowed his rival to over run him in less than a year all the while hanging to his personal belief that he's superior because he's a Yankee son of a *****.

You know, that kind of arrogance needs to be punished.

He needs to take his arrogant attitude, wife and kids, and get the **** out.

Actually, from what I hear, his wife really likes Starkville and the people in it. Not sure the same goes for Dan though...
I'm sure he saw MSU as a pit-stop to a bigger job somewhere and it's not exactly working out for him.

Enough of these family memories. We need a coach that cheats on his wife, rides motorcycles, and raises cane. Also, a coach who has established himself as a winner in the SEC West. I know of one.

how many times have we seen him roll over by running 3 straight run plays right before half?

"yeah, 2 minutes isnt enough"

signed: auburn

we have seen this now vs auburn THREE FREAKING TIMES, aTm (which murdered us anyway), ole miss, kentucky, etc, etc.....the man has no sack, yet time and time again, our opponents show us that the last 2 of any half are extremely important. our dumb asses cant get in the locker room fast enough.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

Dan seemed to quit giving a 17 about becoming a better coach when he got passed over for jobs after the 2010 season. He went on cruise control after that and had the advantage of a weak OOC schedule, permanent UK on the schedule, and some of the worst SEC teams in the past decade with 2011's UM and 2012's UT, AU, and Arky. UM has their program rolling again, AU has at least gotten better than 2012, we'll see about Arkansas and UK, and we fold under a good OOC schedule. There's a glut of coaches who could have done what Mullen did in 2011 and 2012. That's Dan's problem: he knows he's in the glut, not in the upper tier of elite coaches. He could get there, but he has to know that it takes more than 2 years. Dude gave up after he did not get the payoff that he thought he deserved in terms of a better job. I just hope we know to cut bait soon.

He went for on 4th down in his own territory. I wouldn't say he didnt have a sack. He called good play on our last drive but Lewis didnt hang on. We were in position to win, but we failed.

You can't blame Lewis on that ball if it's the one I am thinking about it. He got his hands on it but it was behind him and he had to adjust. would have been a great catch if he could have caught it.

The problem was we didn't do anything with great field position after two turnovers.

Yep. We had chances though. Dak is gonna get better and better. He's practiced 1st team all of 2 weeks. I'm excited bc we found a qb and we started to get an identity. Everyone here said it wasn't the losses but how we lost. Well we played with heart tonight, but had too many mistakes

Auburn is not very good. We should have won this game. I know you are trying to be positive. Curious - do you see us going bowling still?

We'll need some luck. I think it's a long shot at the moment, but not impossible. I really think we match up better with lsu than the spread teams. We were so focused on auburns running qb that we played poorly in the secondary. I still think lsu can be a trap game if they aren't careful. We get them between 2 good teams. I do think with dak as our qb we have a pulse.

I understand the premise of what you are trying to say... but I think mentally, this team is done already. The way we lost to Oky State, now the way we lost to Auburn, I don't think our leadership have enough to put any ounce of fire or want-to in them. I'm expecting 2-3 more wins the rest of the season... and 1 of those will not be from troy or Bowling green. Those will be trap games for us if we aren't careful...

Don't worry, we know where he posts from, so we can go roll his house if he steps out. Maybe throw some eggs too. Failing that, maybe we can have our diddy go whoop his diddy.

yet, you fail to mention that when it was arguably even less of a risk (the 4th and 2....instead of the 4th and 1 1/2 and at a position on the field that was out of the shadow of our own endzone) he failed to take a lesser risk to ice the game.

taking a huge risk to extend a drive in the shadows of our own ez is worse than taking a lesser risk to ice the game with only a half-yard separating the two decisions. sure, it easy for me to point that out now, but i will do it convinced that one of those two are wrong because they are contradictory calls......calls which our beloved idiot made yesterday. the sad part is, had we gone for it on 4th and short the first time and not gotten it, we would have been in a better position than what were were to end the game.

the game was lost when we were on the auburn 45 and the staff seemed disinterested in trying to put the game out of reach.
