Our OL isn't anywhere close to where it needs to be for us to be successful. I'm tired of him getting a walfare check from MSU because he's Mullen's friend.

There's no excuse for an MSU team to be soft up front. Mississippi doesn't produce many QBs or WRs, but there are plenty of mean OL to go around in MS and the connecting states. No sense in a Big XII DL abusing us up front.

Lets keep in mind, Deon Mix isn't at MSU because of John Hevesy. Not that Mix would have made a difference today, but it is NOT acceptable to run off recruits like that.

You say that, but that's not entirely true. Les calls the plays, but it's at the discretion of Mullen. When Les calls a run up the gut on 3 and 13 we should ultimately blame Mullen for letting it happen BUT it falls just as much on Les. That guy sucks, and a guy who calls a run between the tackles on 3 and 13 and plays like that as many times as he does shouldn't be in the position to do so.

Hevesey is his Woody. He's the worst coach we have at coaching his position and recruiting players and he's only here because he's Mullen's buddy. Somehow we have 3 of UF's coordinators from their championship years and nothing to show for it.

Have any of you ever met Hevesey? He's a complete jackass. I'm used to coaches being fake as **** as far as being friendly and stuff but that guy is a slime ball, he doesn't even attempt to be friendly. I've watched that guy be an *** to everyone who walks up to him at baseball games and around town. Him commenting in that Rolling Stones article pretty much sums him up... Can't think of another coach that would comment on something like that for a source like that.

If there's a bright spot to this about-to-be-horrible season all the coaches we've disliked for years are going to be forced out by Strickland at the end. Maybe not getting a contract extension for the first time in his career will put a fire under Mullen's *** too.

He is a jackass. There was a group of 10-12 (one of them being a good friend of mine) BIG MONEY alumni touring the new football faclity earlier this year until Hevesey threw them out. Escorted them out on a Saturday morning in the spring. There's no sense in that ********.

Why the hell did he do that?

It's the longest article you're going to read this year, but worth a read... written extremely well.

http://www.rollingstone.com/feature/the-gangster-in-the-huddle

I don't necessarily have a problem with what he said so much as he said anything at all. It's just Trooper Taylor-ish to give Rolling Stone a comment. I can't think of another guy on our staff that would agree to go on the record for that. Basically he said that Aaron Hernandez was a thug and nothing they could do at Florida could "get the Bristol out of him". Also tried to make it sound like they were best friends by saying his daughter slept in a Hernandez replica jersey and how he was always at his house for dinner. Yeah right.

I'm a cheesy fan. I always get excited to see coaches and assistants around town and I always tried to introduce myself when I was a student and they ALWAYS say hey and at least act like they're glad to talk to you for even 2 seconds before they run off... sometimes you'll get one who will sit there and talk your ear off... but Hevesey is a complete douche. Last year at a baseball game he told my friend and me to 17 off. He's not good enough to be the *** he is.

PS - As much as everyone hates Wilson the coach on here that guy was really cool if you ever ran into him in Starkville. We were drinking at a restaurant one time and he walked in and someone at my table yelled "COACH!" and he came over and chatted us up about how good our DB's were going to be in 2012. No **** right?

With all the stories in this thread, it sounds to me like someone needs a good ol' fashioned country *** whooping.

Normally I'd agree, but when the players are usually all highly regarded and pretty much all of them suck it comes back to the coach... and in this case when we first glance at Hevesey we see a douche who can't recruit (thanks for Joey Trapp though) and a guy who has never gotten much out of any player.
