Also, thanks for putting a picture of a 17'n cow on the front page of the CWS article.

What a truly ineptly run piece of garbage. The Clarion Ledger has never been all that great, but wow it has sunk.

I can understand the cow

Omaha. Heartland. Steaks, etc.

The third CWS is just bad.

I figured the CL would have had a pull out section on Ole Miss football recruiting instead.

The CL (and Daily Journal for that matter) remind me of a kid that starts freaking out because his brother is getting all the attention so he starts standing on his head or jumping up and down to get noticed.

@braceyharris fancies herself a "Story teller from Oxford, Ms".

Not that I'm a black helicopter enthusiast but this seems a bit convenient. Its possible this ole miss chick is simply ignorant. Either way, strike another blow to the journalistic integrity of the clarion ledger.

She's an intern. Be easy on her. But its horrible journalism.

So we can safely assume you won't be buying one of these lovely 2013 CWS shirts?

as for the paper, when you lay off all of the copy editors/fact checkers to run things as cheaply as possible, these things will happen.

Article has been corrected and now has a picture of the team & not a cow. Otherwise, it looks pretty informative for anyone wanting to go to the CWS. Ticket info & going prices on various sites, restaurant info, etc. Still pretty inexcusable to make such an obvious mistake & not catch it before it goes out.

Oh...and they apparently can't write an article about us going to Omaha without mentioning that we haven't WON there since 1998. And after all, and it was way back in 2007 since we last went.

No problem with them saying 1st time we've been since 2007 (that was 6 years ago). It's kind of chicken-**** to keep talking about the last time we've won a game there. It is true, but does it really matter if you won a game or not unless you at least make it to the final of your bracket?

I still think it should be a rule

That if you ***** about an article in a newspaper, you must begin the rant with, "cancelled subscription on________".

I most certainly hope no one would gripe about it and then subsequently cut a check to them to continue delivery. It's people like that who keep O'charleys in business.

I don't think you're mind is in the gutter...I think it's right where it needs to be. That's pretty damn funny, Wizard. I'd buy that on a shirt! Next year, we should schedule the North Dakota A&M Poons, or the Iowa Tech Meat Curtains. I don't think Vermont State has a baseball team yet - so we can forget about getting to play the Hatchet Wounds.

Well they are offering kids in the 2016 and 2017 classes already..

I know her well myself, it was honest mistake and she knows it looks worse on her than it does on State. She would not have printed it had she known it was blatantly false. Also, this was one of her first stories for the CL, as opposed to Rick Cleveland writing that OM had never been to Omaha four or five years back, which was also blatantly false but less excusable because he had been alive to see OM in Omaha, while Harris is still relatively new to this. She'll get better.
