We are about to finish 16-14 in the SEC. LSU is going to win the championship at 19-11. AND WE CANNOT HIT THE BALL!

If we were just an average hitting team., we'd be SEC Champions. Hell, here's several games for you, find three:

March 16 at LSU: Went to extra innings tied 1-1. Took the lead in the top of the 10th. Had we held on to that lead, we would not only have had one more win, we would have given the champions one more loss and held the tiebreaker over them.

March 25 vs. Arkansas: An uncharacteristic 5 run inning given up by our pitching in extra innings.

April 7 vs. Vanderbilt: A hit away from winning the game in the bottom of the 9th. Dropped it in 12.

April 13 at South Carolina: Had the game won and mismanaged the 8th inning. Carolina got 4 and we lost by 1.

May 6 at Alabama: Took the lead in top of the 9th and lost it in the bottom.

May 13 at Florida: Nothing really stands out, but we had every chance to win this 2-1 game.

We were that close to winning the SEC Championship. There are several teams that are hoping they don't see us as a 2 seed in their regional. Our pitching staff is built for a big postseason run, and our bats are starting to come alive. We are heading in the right direction.

I am glad things are turning out good. Looks like his style of baseball works well with the new bats. I hope our batting pick up for the regional. I would not be surprise if we end up in Omaha and I am not being wooley. Our pitching is going to keep us in every game.

This is what comes to mind for you? I'll tell you this..I'll take a coach who "makes a jackass of himself" backing his coaching staff and players than one who does the exact same thing by typing up letters to the NCAA. Which begs the question..just how many games would Polk have won had he spent considerably less time on the ol' Smith-Corona?

Find one time I have talked about squeeze bunts ever. I love the play. We have constantly bunted runners over early all year long followed up by a K then the third out. Did our 11 today come from moving the runners over? I had a whole thread showing the stats about bunting the runners over and how it cost us more than benefitted. Cohen did exactly what I've wanted all year and it culminated in 11 runs today. I'm excited as 17 for our postseason with his new offensive revelation

Truth is this isn't about a change in style or strategy, it's about getting good swing on the ball and finding spaces in the defense. Something we've been trying to do all year but haven't executed.
