In less than two weeks, Trayvon Martin will receive a college degree.

Florida Memorial University has decided to honor Martin, who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman five years ago, with a posthumous bachelor's degree in aviation, which was an interest of his.

Martin's parents, Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, will accept the degree during FMU's spring commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 13. A post-commencement fundraiser and reception will also be held for the Trayvon Martin Foundation, which is headquartered at the school.

In a Facebook post, the school explained that Marin will receive the award on behalf of "the steps he took during his young life toward becoming a pilot."

Those liberal universities better stock up on parchment paper with all the people that are going to die at the hands of the GOP health bill, they'll be passing those posthumous degrees like candy.

Are there any Leftists who volunteered to sit on the Republican "death panels" that were retained from the ACA under this new AHCA?

I mean you did claim more people will die under this new plan so I'm wondering if the Republicans held over any of the expertise assembled under the old plan in the form of those infamous "death panels"?

Of course this story is all over CNN, and MSNBC, and ABC, and NBC and CBS, and ABC, and the New York times, and the Washington Post, and the LA times and the rest of the unbiased fact filled mainstream news media cabal right WVU82?

You easily found it all over the place correct?

Can you link us to their stories covering this?

Didn't think so, imagine that.

Wonder why not?

It's a gimmick for a fund raiser.

Whats the difference between a government death panel and a corporate death panel if you are the one who's dying? Insurance companies have regularly denied coverage for treatments that could save a life due to cost.

No one was "forced" to buy Insurance before the ACA's Death panels came into existence. In many of those cases you mentioned, Doctors and patients along with the Insurance providers consulted & made the decision to stop treatments because there was likely no hope of recovery even after massive expenditures of time and resources.

The Government "death panels" weren't operating out of any compassion for the individual or with consultation between patients, physicians, or care providers. It was all just bottom line oriented decision making based on arbitrary assessments of "quality of Life" vs "cost" of any given treatment.

So there is a big difference to me. Under the Government, you were forced to buy often times a substandard product watered down to fit costs. Before the ACA, you chose when, if, or even how much Insurance you wanted to buy and decided with your chosen Physician & Family when to stop treatment.

True sometimes some Insurance companies denied selling you coverage, but usually that involved lower risk pool rates. If you were sick and needed coverage, you could still purchase Insurance, but it was considerably more expensive.

Bottom line is you still had that choice to make instead of being forced to buy Insurance you either couldn't use, or didn't want under the Government plan.
