Yes, I did one for the British Open and won a little. I've been playing with house money. I've played the last couple weeks too including this week. Just golf. I know little about baseball. Next week I'm entering the PGA Championship. Not sure how this isn't "gambling" but it's fun.for The Open? Or was it somewhere else.

Oh fudge, there are multiple options? Maybe I should shoot for all 3 this time and see which I like best (sucker).Which contest did you play? There are several (guaranteed, 50/50, beginners, etc)
This week I've entered the $3.3 millionaire maker with the $20 entry. They have several contests each week in golf. This week the entry fees vary from $1 to $5300. The $5300 entry is limited to 50 entries with the winner getting $100K. I've played from $2 to $20 entries.Which contest did you play? There are several (guaranteed, 50/50, beginners, etc)
Yes. It says at the site that they issue W2s.I wonder if winnings are taxable. Someone winning $50 is one thing but if someone is winning $100 the Feds will probably make sure they get their cut, if they're legally entitled to it. It still amazes me that the whole thing is legal though.

Here is the specific statement from their website:You have to supply your SSN? I'm out
Here is the specific statement from their website:
"You do have to pay taxes on your Cumulative Net Profit from fantasy sports. DraftKings is required to issue 1099 tax form(s) to any player who has a cumulative net profit in excess of $600 for the calendar year. This is calculated by the approximate value as ((prizes won - entry fees)+bonuses)."
That is correct IRS code. Did they require you to submit a SSN in setting up an account? If so, I am out. If they require a SSN prior to paying winnings, then they are following the law and I will reconsider my comment. Thanks.
