I don't really think you'd want that stat. Rutgers has HAD 33 kicks blocked since 2009, not blocked that many.

ETA: rewound the game. They have blocked 33. They lead the nation. And they have returned 14 kicks for TDs during that same time.

Never been outside the northeast though. Scares me from a recruiting perspective...
Of course, the NCAA already actually passed legislation to make coaching and recruiting two different jobs that could be employed by different people -- so that wouldn't necessarily be a hindrance. Now, if they would remove the "indefinite hold" on that, we can get to work with Sleepy, Pork Chop, etc...on the recruiting trail.
I agree that's a good strategy, but if you have inferior talent, it's safe to assume you don't have great depth (at least talented depth), which is where most of the ST personnel comes from.
But there again, ST is all about effort, and a good coach can teach that. ST guys have to have pride in it and WANT to make those plays.
