Obviously you hate the guy, and that's fine.
Jack is a better person than Tiger. Whether he's a better golfer is up for debate. He could hate children, old people, and dogs, and it wouldn't change what he does on the course.

sheer dominance of the sport puts tiger in a whole nother league. people want to talk about nicklaus' competition being greater, but over time tiger faced mickelson (who people in the golf world universally hate btw), vijay singh, els, and now padraig harrington, not to mention the rest of the maybe 20 guys who could legitimately be mentioned here. to say he's worse than nicklaus is just being nostalgic. say what you want about the speech, but athletes aren't public speakers, he put it all out and got out. you can't complain about that. if you don't like tiger, don't like him, but don't make yourself look dumb.

Serious answer to a not serious question, it's because I'm not a front runner. I'm loyal to my teams. I'm still waiting to be able to recognize greatness in an Ole Miss team. Unfortunately, I think we're cursed.
I don't always pull for the great ones, but I enjoy seeing them and appreciate when I get to see all-time greats in sports. Another example is Peyton Manning. I don't pull for him. I don't like the Colts, but I love watching them play because it's great to watch one of the all-time best dissect and control a game the way he can.
I'll never understand people like Brutius who has clearly has had it out for Tiger from the beginning, well before his character flaws came to the forefront. Whether you like or dislike a person, as a fan of sports in general, I think you would at least have some appreciation for seeing great feats.
