I just caught up on your blog. I was at the same Yankees-O's game you were. The 2-1 game on a Monday night with the Matsui walkoff. Where did you sit? We were on the second row in right field by the Yankee pen. GREAT seats. All three home runs were in my vicinity. Matsui's went directly over my head.
Your description of the ballpark is spot on. Old Yankee Stadium, for all it's history, was a dump. I was amazed at the attention to detail and the spaciousness of the new one. I was also impressed with the extremely wide variety of food there. I think the thing I liked most was Jeter's "at bat music" or whatever those are called. While most players have a snippet of some popular song, all Jeter had was a recording of Bob Sheppard announcing him. I also liked the Kate Smith version of God Bless America.
