Sam Ehlinger = Very poor man's Dak Prescott. Ehlinger is incredibly inaccurate in the short-passing game like Dak, but doesn't have Dak's long ball. Both have tree trunks for legs, and are tough to bring down with arm tackles. Ehlinger won't advance past an NFL practice squad.

Don't embarrass yourself by putting Brady and Ehlinger in the same sentence, Chris. In all fairness to Ehlinger, Texas' receivers are trash. If Ehlinger had Ohio State's receivers, including the two Texans, then he'd have better numbers this season.

If you don't have NFL arm talent, then reading a defense is inconsequential. Because of the weakness of his right arm, Ehlinger winds up like an overhand pitcher to compensate. He won't have time to do that against NFL defenses. Somebody will likely draft Ehlinger late, but only as a practice squad project.

Ehlinger ain't even Tebow, Chris, and Tebow wasn't an NFL starter for long. Tebow won a Heisman, but that had a lot to do with Urban's offense. Texas' receivers don't get any separation at all, so Ehlinger is forcing some balls. You should expect an interception by WVU.
Texas is horrible at defending simple screen passes. Brown should call one bubble screen after another, as Texas is soft, and can't tackle in the back seven.

Jay Cutler's arm was far better than Ehlinger's, but he's a Trump supporter, so you hate him. Apples to oranges comparison, anyway. Ehlinger should return for yet another college season, unless he desperately needs the practice squad salary. He might be in Austin long enough to capture some of the name, image, and likeness money, as Texas fan boys will undoubtedly hire him to sell snow tires or something else useless for them.
