I played on the last team that lost to them so its easy for me to remember LOL

Even South slowly crept up on the series with them til a couple years ago. Not sure how South will be this year but from seeing the West talk they may beat up on em’ for a few more years now

West didn't look so good last night I wouldn't expect but a win or 2 this year in gamewell.

Gee looks bigger and faster then last year. Good looking team. 92 kids came out for football this year. JV and Varsity. I can't predict a repeat but they should be the favorite in most games. I heard Baker left Newton. Foard did well last season and they have a test the 1st game. That is always the one that worries me the most. The coaches have them ready so I think the will win Friday. I hate to have to drive that far to watch them and if I am alive I am going. I have one friend suppose to ride with me. I have room for 3 more if anyone wants to go and don't have a ride or don't want to spend the money on gas to ride. My truck is already filled up and ready to go. Back to Back sounds good and the journey begins for us fans Friday! The players have been preparing for months. Good luck and NO INJURIES..

Robinson lost a few pieces from last years team that made it to regional final... I could see Panthers D struggle a little bit early as they replace 5 key players on that side of the ball... Offensively if we don’t make mistakes I don’t see any teams in the regular season holding us under 20..

I’ll say Hibriten 33-14

Seems the only real challenge during the season will hit Oct 5 and Nov 2. I’d hope it won’t effect gate sales but prob will. I used this comical illustration last year so I’ll do a throw back-

Joe: Hey Carl, you going to the game tonight.
Carl: uhhh who the boys playing?
Joe: East Burke.
Carl: ..... ehhh Bobs having a few people over, wanted me to look at his car. I’ll catch ya next time. I might wait til 2nd round of the playoffs idk.

Prob be the case for both of these schools nothing but super die hards, parents, and girlfriends in attendance. Oh and kids not even watching the game just hanging out catching up on gossip and whose parents are out of town and having a party.

I hope not but most likely. I bet the players feel kind of punished for being great football players. I must be a die hard, lol. I talked a friend into riding with me to watch the game tomorrow. I would be surprised if Robinson scores 2 TDs. I think our offense will pick up quickly where they left off last season. Gee is chasing the career rushing title for Hibriten and that will hopefully be accomplished quickly and I have to add if he doesn't get injured. I seen our qb passing in scrimmage games. I almost fainted. If our guys can pass the ball this year then teams will be lost on how to guard our guys. I may eat these words but I feel like Hibriten gonna get 40+ tomorrow night. I am being a bit silly by saying this. One of my buddies told me I was Hibriten's good luck charm last year. He said he has been going to all the games for years and no state title. I quit drinking the January after south point debacle. Last year was my first year of going to Hibriten games. I had a feeling before the year started they would win the state title and it did finally happen. I am going to all the games this year(provided I live that long) so this year we will see. I have that feeling again!

I hear ya man. Just don’t get too idolize in them though like I have been in football in general. There’s also tent revival mins from Hibriten too.

If they lose out of the playoffs life will still go on. I use to be hammered on Friday nights and listen to the broadcast on kicks. It is better time spent going to a football game in my opinion. My senior year of high school I went to Haines City High School in central Florida. That year our team won games it seemed they shouldn't have and made it to the state championship game in Florida gator stadiums. One of our guys took the opening kickoff and ran it back for a td. The ref said he was down at the one yard line. Kind of strange to see a player fall near the goal post in the center of the field and it called down at the one. He ran all the way through the end zone. Anyway, I don't have a tin foil hat or anything going on here. Bad calls happen. The really bad thing was on the very next play our running back fumbles going in and the dang ball rolls out of the back of the end zone. After that our boys got killed(no literally). It may not have changed the outcome of the game. They beat us 41-7. That game hurt bad. I was friends with just about every player on the team. I moved to Lenoir near the end of 1992 and lived near Hibriten and gained interest in them. Followed them ever since. Never went to many games. I remember that Ferguson kid. He was something. He had over 4k rushing yards in his career and to my knowledge that is still the most. Anyhow, I have always enjoyed high school football. Way more pure then college and now with the kneeling garbage I refuse to watch an NFL game. I try to support the kids and I know they love to hear fans cheer so I go and do my best to help give them the screaming fan edge :)

Reminds me of 2009 and 2010 so many weapons carries are hard to come by.

Not really good for his stats but should be really fresh come playoffs. I remember last year one of the south point guys said the west was lucky hibriten made it to the states because both south point and shelby were both really beat up. May come to the same situation this year with the soft schedule.

Good point. With a softer schedule, injuries do seem to be less. This could benefit Hibriten

This schedule is so soft the rest of the conference can pull together an all star team and still lose by at least 2 scores. All hypothetical speaking of course. Most of the reps would have to come from Foard and a couple speedsters from West Iredell maybe a couple from EB, a big linemen from Draughn n a maybe 3 or 5 from Patton. Yeah, they’d still lose.

Ferguson has nearly 4500 yds started little less than halfway thru his freshman year! Probably avg 14-15 carries a game. The carries is a guess! Gee I think has less than 3500 or there abouts! He should break it easily but sometimes I think we’re a little to easy on opponents! If you have a hot wife you don’t shave her head and cut her nose off so she don’t embarrass all the other women! Lol...just saying let him run a little!
