Hickory will host St Stephens, Statesville and Mooresville.

Start time is 5p and will kick off as follows

JV - Statesville v St Stephens

Varsity - Statesville v St Stephens (roughly 6:15 start)

JV: Mooresville vs Hickory (roughly 7:00 start or so)

Varsity: Mooresville v Hickory (Roughly a 7:30/8 pm start)

How did hickory do vs east Forsyth

HHS couldn't match up with the line play. That was the biggest difference between the teams. EF is loaded with talent and I see them making another run for the state title again this year in 7A. HHS was outmanned, but did some good things as well. HHS has some great talent that needs experience and they gained a lot going up against the Eagles. Mooresville will be just as tough. Coach Glass has lined up some awesome scrimmage partners leading into the 2025 season for sure.

Hickory playing East Forsyth and Mooresville is definitely a good tune up before the season begins.

Statesville Varsity vs St Stephens

Man; I was super impressed with St Stephen’s D - they got some pressure; had a sack and they are munched improved. Offensive still same ole same ole but if they get some type of passing game they could be dangerously underrated.

Statesville: Rough night at the office. OL somewhat struggled so It affected QB play bc there were some missed target and such. Statesville had a lot of Dead ball penalties (Mostly from younger guys). Statesville has to mature and develop and get things back on track.

Mooresville Varsity vs Hickory

Mooresville: FLAT and No energy at all and Penalties hurt them early. Also some missed opportunity as well on pass game. Mooresville Front 7 is good only gave up a couple of big runs but most were stuffed. Mooresville turned it on late and got a fumble recovery and few TD passes and won 24-6. Mooresville has to just tighten up a few things and have more energy but Good overall showing once they got settled in

Hickory; Kinda hard to judge tbh - They showed some flashes here and there. They have a good RB still but Replacing 9 guys (I’m not sure if that’s total or just offensively) but I thought Hickory held their own until late (back up were mixed in I believe) and they had no answer late

We learned more about Mooresville then Hickory imo
