Not really unreal. He did the job he was assigned to do. Not surprised that he was rewarded for it.
Had we somehow won yesterday, he'd almost 100% be on our game. In fact, he'll still be on UNC's game, I'm sure.
One thing I'd love to see one day are the metrics their bosses use for job reviews and placement in the game's biggest event. Somehow I don't think such metrics exist.

It says a lot about the quality of the officiating in college basketball when Higgins graded out as one of the nine best officials in the sixty games played so far in this tournament.

I really feel sorry for Oregon and the South Carolina/Gonzaga winner.They are going to get hosed.
There is obviously a criteria, known only to the referee community, being used to determine who advances.
They are supposed to be graded on their performance during the tournament and advanced based on their grades. The grading committee consisted of Roy Williams, John Skipper and Mark Emmert.
Probably more anti Cal and or Kentucky because remember he aided Wisconsin and Connecticut against us.

Me too. I woke up several times last night dreaming about that game, and then spent an hour awake from 3-4 am running all of the possible scenarios through my head. What a mess...this is day 1 of usually about a week-long "WTF" that I think we all have to go through after such a tough loss for our Cats....ugh.
Maybe this is a remake of The Sting and Roy is going to get hosed in the final.
