Dexter Carter, of free shoes and 49ers fame is a customer of mine. The first time he visited my store, I recognized him and it endeared us to him from then on. That was 3 years ago. His son is a high school wr and recruited heavily. Dexter came in last summer and would love to talk football, yes, he knows I'm a State grad. He would share info about where his son was visiting currently. I don't think it was ever Colorado even though he and prime were teammates.
He did say we were in consideration of sorts until Leach passed away. "Of sorts" because the son was too young at the time. They've since signed a few deals for sports cards and some other things. They visited the corndogs and the barners, free shoes, and Ohio state.
A month or so ago, he brought his son in store, dude is slight, and not the least bit socialable. His son chose to be a barner. Dexter says "because throughout recruiting, they have had the highest integrity and transparency of all the schools".
