High school suspends football program after being outscored 523-0 in 2025
Per a report by FOX 8, a North Carolina high school is suspending their varsity football team after being shutout in every game in 2025
Wow...I remember FH playing them deep in the playoffs a couple times back in the 90s. They were a top program back then. Heck FH fell off the planet for 5 years under a terrible coach. It was miserable going to a game during that time. HPC will be back. A lot of talent up there.
I just saw that and came on here just to see if this got posted. Wow. I remember a day n time how strong the program was back in the 90’s and 2000’s.
Remember them crossing paths with Cleveland County teams a few times. Crest in 2001 and 2003 in state playoffs. Think they met up with Shelby a couple times in the 90's.
I know there probably aren't a lot of HPC on here (at least as current fans) ... but maybe some old time HPC people that moved onto over schools due to children, etc - what is the real story here?
Is it a combo of recruiting your players, bad admin, bad coaching.....what else? There is a smoking gun somewhere that SOMEbody knows about. Who are the closest big football programs to HPC?
