High School Baseball Prospect: Collin Carroll

Any word on this guy? He is from Ridgeland High School, was selected as a 2012 Under Armour Pre-Season All-American. I know nothing about that distinction but it sounds impressive.<div>
His dad is Herman Carroll who played football at State in the Sherrill years (I think that's right.)</div><div>

Our scholarship situation is pretty tight though- that's we have five or six walk-ons coming in already and signed five.

As far as I know, he hasn't signed with anybody- I thought he was leaning towards Holmes CC.

While he has a lot of power and a good frame, he has to work on his hitting- he needs to cut down on his strikeouts. If he can do that, he may very well sign with someone in the spring.
