If I was the opposing coach, after the #2 play, I would have calmly demanded an in-game meeting at half-court with the opposing coach and all the refs, and told them that our entire team will be instructed tofight back the next time it happens, and someone is videoing and we are sending their (referees') indiscretions to theirequiv. of the MHSAA as well. As a last resort, I wouldtake my team off the floor before I would let that nonsense continue. The opposing coach is liable for letting his team be physically steamrolled, and if I was a parent or school administrator I would be livid with him for not having enough respect for his own players, nor pride inhis school and program.
Just like in baseball, sometimes you have to have a beanball war just to make sure things are in order.
