Tons of football history in Evanston that isn’t known even to most lifetime residents like myself. My dad was an all-state RB at ETHS on an undefeated team back in the 60s so I’ve heard tons of stories of great players over the years just being around him and his friends. Back then they had a string of like 30 something consecutive wins at a time when they only played like 8 or 9 games a season.

Another fun fact- John Riddell, founder of Riddell (Helmets) was the ETHS AD and head coach back in the 1920s & 30s (not certain on exact years but roughly). That all started while he was at ETHS.
