Anyone else notice it seems like almost 50% off the snaps are always high and Armstrong has to jump to get them? May be its just me but it seems like he jumps to receive it and then tries to do the fake hand off ( which isnt fooling the D at all) and by that time the opposing D line is already in there . ? maybe im wrong but that it just my opinion. Anyone else notice that ?

You are not wrong. They should switch centers to make a point to Reeves. TA already makes bad decisions. How is it helping him that he has to jump up all the time to catch the snap. He is thinking about that instead of fully concentrating on the play. One of these days one is going to go over his head. Probably this weekend.

I do notice and don`t get why every other snap is one Tommy has to reach for. Not sure why Reeves can`t get this fixed.

Glad im not the only one and not sure why this hasn't really been brought up with the coaches at all. This basically dooms us from the beginning. I know its not the reason we are struggling but it may have lots to do with it though

It certainly screws up the timing of plays.

Tommy would have been kicking Aaron Graham's arse.

Reeves said its an adrenaline thing, too pumped up and worried about executing the follow on assignment.

Im just thinking there has to be no confidence in a center if they keep allowing him to stay in there. We must have no one else because if we somebody there is no way Reeves should stay in there. It dooms us right from the start

Well Zatechka said the OL talent was bad.

I know from last year, we were talking about how bad Pelini was at center, and how much better Reeves was, but its seems to be the case that center has been very thin to begin with. I think the plan is to turn Decker into a center, but he's a true frosh right now.

It's a grip issue that is easy to fix. We see one sail over Tommy's head before long.

Langsdorf said that the high snaps are one of the reasons for Armstrong's passing difficulties (in addition to his regression on techniques coaches worked with him on, not going through progressions and throwing off back foot). Reeves gives lame excuses about distractions of having to make line calls and pulling on certain plays. I cannot understand why Cavanaugh and Langsdorf do not pull Reeves and see if Thurston can do better. Reeves' poor snaps have continued all season.

Obviously I'm not privy to watching guys practice, but the couple late games last season where Thurston was in the game were not pretty. The middle of the line was basically collapsed by the opponents' D tackles.

I haven't noticed a massive sieve coming from the inside, so I would rather hope that Reeves can get the snaps under control vs. pulling him.

Well i'm guessing if he hasn't gotten it fixed by after 6 games , whats the logic in thinking its going to get fixed ?? maybe if he missed a game he would really work on his snapping a little better. Right now he knows they aint going to pull him

Wait, if he's napping during games, that's a huge problem! Winking

it's been going on forever it seems.. why it hasn't been addressed already, no idea.. it actually really pisses me off.

I couldnt agree more. I was trying not to be too negative on here because people get all butt hurt when someone asks an honest question. I think it all starts there and goes downhill !just my opinion

it should be such an easy thing to fix.. but it really does anger me to no end.. I want to hit the guy with a 2 x 4, and then run. :)

Tommy is suppose to overcome this, dropped passes, free Dlineman running at him...and still complete 70% of his passes.

Any Qb can do that, duh!
