Onside kick right after you just went up by 11. SMH
It's one thing to try that to grab some momentum, but that just occurred with the TD.

Not a Vince Dooley or Bear Bryant kind of move. Not a Tom Osbourne move, either. This Frost boy was supposed to be a can't miss coach. Just goes to show you that sometimes magic doesn't transfer.

According to Wikipedia....Frost is now a "former coach". :D

It hasn't hit the news outlets yet, but I wouldn't be surprised. Thing is, readers can edit Wikipedia articles. This might have been done as a suggestion from a disgruntled fan. Looked at it just now and Wikipedia is still showing him as head coach.

Yea...knew it wouldn't last long. Seems we had a premature firing of Muschamp on Wikipedia a few times. :D

How much NIL money did they have?
Nebraska outbid Texas for Ochaun Mathis, the TCU DE. 9 sacks as a sophomore. Nebraska strategized to allocate NIL money to portal transfers rather than hs recruits. Thus high school recruiting sucks, but from the portal they have a new starting QB (Thompson), starting star DE (Mathis), starting WR (Washington, and several starting DBs like Omar Brown, Tommi Hill and Kaine Williams and a top special teams return man from LSU (Palmer). Also a very good OL from Ok State (Anthony).

I remember Turbeville (sp?) with Auburn hit us with an on-side kick when it wasn’t expected at all. Part of the reason we had 0:00 Time of Possession in the 4th quarter of that game.

Tuberville. Most onside kick attempts other than near the end of the game are by surprise - unless the team doing it is multiple scores behind. This one let his opponent back in the game; this one paved the way for losing the game; this one was authored by a man who couldn't afford, and probably didn't need to risk, having an unorthodox decision go awry.

the goal is to win the game not rub it in your opponent's face. The failed O-S-K seemed to fire up NW. Nebraska did not score again while BW scores 2 TD's. Bad coaching move. Very bad. Nebraska was dominating for the quarter up until the failed onsides kick. It's the sort of decision that gets you fired. NU had the game in hand and let NW back in.

It was a bad call, but if it worked and Nebraska went on to score a TD and go up 3 scores he's a genius.

They onside kicked it just after the half. We had a two-score lead. They then consume the entire 4th quarter. Our gassed defense turned to paper after that.
