Somebody please tell me why Slauter is in the lineup again? Can we just let our pitchers hit and DH for him? And he hits 2nd to boot...

Good grief this team is snake bit!!

He's third on the team in conference play. If you're gonna call him out then you have to call out everyone else save for Frazier and Frost. Plus, Slauter plays the most important position defensively. You can trade hitting for defense at Catcher. Seriously, try again.

Slaughter is a heck of a defensive catcher and an above average hitter for a collegiate catcher. Try again....

But to go along to get along, he is probably the best Cohen has to put out there, which is understandable. But he did not hit in key situations tonight and it was a passed ball by him that allowed the winning run to score, not a wild pitch. So if he simply knocks it down, there is a .988 chance he throws the batter out at first after the strike out, which, of course keeps the run from counting. Just a minor detail consider how the rest of that 8th inning went.
